Marc Jacobs S/S 07 NYC

I like the ocasional piece i must confes but to me the colour pallete looks alll wrong.. it loks like faded washed out colours.. im really not a fan of karki etc. but i guess if you like it then ...

I do not like the chanel'esqe pieces at all.. it is all abit overbaked now imo and nothing new

As for the paper garments .. that has just given me the funnyest de ja vu ever.. in school in dt class we ahd to constuct paper clothes.. and my friend and I joked saying slap Marc Jacobs or a brand name on this and I bet it will sell.. and low and behold eyars later.. paper pants hehe

I must admit im not the biggest fan of marc jacobs.. his last colelction won me over but this one has made me decide that i dont like him again... i thin that this collection has some fresh ideas but alot of them are recycled. I think that alot of these pieces look trashy, tacky and nasty.. dotn get me wrong i lve a bit of tack but these just look cheap and nasty and im not feeling them at all.

I must confess I love the runway .... although i dont quite see how it fits into the theme.

I love the 1920's style things.. but i just hope that his other collections make up for the rubbishness of this one.

i loved the lawyers.. of organza.. very beautifull..I loved some pieces. i see some innovation his work.. interesting ..since the collection he did with a lot of volumes and that ridicoulous hats.. this is much better ....

I am in my pajamas and I just got up to watch the video. The music~and the set up...it's like Marc Jacobs's life is suddenly became perfect and full of love. and he lost so much weight! He looks so cute now!

I like the dresses, esp. the stripey ones, but I don't like the metallic and glittery stuff at all... also, the hats seem too small for the models' heads

Feel the same way ... did not know what is was, but unfinished is a good word!

hah! isn't it like this every single season? Marc is always controversial, and many people HATE the show, and then months later everybody is wearing them and consider them biggest trends
surprisingly I do'nt hate the metallics. I hated it in previous season, but i found those necessary to add a little to the show. Otherwise it's going to be pale and boring. Metallics makes it a little naughty.
The shoes look so uncomfortable, and it looks like he is still in the theme of last spring (shoes wise only). i also noticed the Chanelism here, and I was thinking if he was practising and showing his take on some Chanel feeling stuff. On one outfit, the back side looks very Balenciaga to me with big puffy volume and Marc Jacobs' color/material.
I probably can't wear most of it, but I really like it. He is doing something new to him and the collecition is very Marc Jacobsy.:flower:

Marc Jacobs, why have you forsaken me!

Usually his collections are not conventionally 'agreeable' but they are quirky, 'trendy' and very wearable!! This looks like he ran out of time and decided to combine design ideas from a bunch of random designers and it looks like one big mess!!

Hopefully this means Louis Vuitton will be much better.

Watch the video and what a bad start!! Don't buy that sandals!! Luv the music

I love this collection! It's gotta be the best from New York up till now. And I won't be surprised. I think it has been the only fashionforward and original collection in New York this week. One of the few who didn't steal from Calvin Klein or Chloe.

the headwear looks like fun, i should admit. and i like the use of flowers that softgrey talks about.
My thoughts exactly. And the flowers are indeed

In addition I really love some of the bags.! And I actually like the metallics, but that's about it then. In general I don't care for the collection, and I think that the layering is bad.

I like how each season is different from the last but still manage to keep his trademark layering. Very fashionforward indeed.

Wait, where's this video?

I love it. After seeing the whole thing I absolutely love it. The styling is odd, but glamourous too. Did anyone else get a strange Daisy Buchanan vibe? It's as if the 1920's collided with grunge in some weird candyland kinda place.

Sidenote, I love those headbands with the huge rhinestones, very cool and unexpected.

I like it but the "little hats" look like something taken from ss06

I'm not a MJ fan at all but I seem to like this which is weird because none of his usual fans like it.

I like the metallics and when I look at a MJ collection I kinda hve to think of the pieces without so much layering and how they will look off the runway to appreciate it. I think this feels kinda new for MJ but I think this collection will probably grow on people as time goes on.

I have a lot to say on this but need more time to put it together in my head. all is all, my impression is I like it very much. its new, fresh and very organic. he's trying to break out of a staid mold and that's always risky and not welcome in mainstream. the shoes, well, let's just say they are not my taste nor the bags. BUT the clothing has appeal more of an appeal to you if you can take from here and use with this attitude.

I find it really fascinating, the whole collection. and i love the bags!!! and now i'm off to watch the video, to take it all in....
