I heard some good things about MB and I want to try some stuff...

I have a very sensitive eye area, not dry nor oily, just sensitive. The outer corners of my eyes always hurt a little after removing my eye makeup.
I have an oily t-zone, and normal, sometimes dry cheeks. I don't have really bad pimples but I have very uneven skin. Sometimes whiteheads (around my mouth), dry patches (cheeks), a lot of blackheads (on my nose), enlarged pores (but no blackheads) on the apples of my cheeks. I want those blackheads gone. And I would love to have an even skin .
Which products, skincare routine would you recommend me? I know you can ask for advice online but I would love to hear some of your recommendations.
I've been looking on their website but there's just too much products to choose from, I don't know a thing about MB and I'm completely lost .

They store that sells MB in my area always has plenty of samples that the company provides to them. Is there anywhere in your area you could check for samples?

I heard great things about this line but was disappointed with the stuff I tried.
I don't think it was a good match for my super sensitive skin.

I was really interested in the MB botanical gel cleanser, but then I looked at the ingredients and I saw that it has methylparaben (i think that's it, can't remember the first word haha). I really try to stay away from parabens since they are known carcinogens . . . now I don't know what to do!

There are worse things than parabenes in skin care IMO. I really don't care. I still eat strawberries, grapes and carrots (they all contain methylparaben). So...whatever.

Thank you. But doesn't an oil cleanser make your skin oilier? I don't know that much about skincare. But if it works for you, I have to give it a try. Your skin always looks so even and fresh.

Oil cleansers do not make your skin more oily, quite the contrary. Oil cleansers have foaming agents in them (contrary to using plain oil, like olive oil), so when you apply water and massage, they foam the slightest bit. I think oil cleansers relax the skin, somehow, so it doesn't produce too much oil. Most cleansers strip the skin of its natural oils, and then the glands try to compensate by producing more oil. If you think about it, oil dissolves oil...oil and water don't mix, so you get a more thorough but gentler cleanse when using oil. I don't think MB has any oil cleansers though.

Same thing when using face scrubs/physical exfoliants - they seem to irritate the skin slightly, making the glands produce more oil. That's what I've noticed with my skin anyway, I'm not saying this is the absolute truth

Thank you so much! I actually avoid oil-containing products at all costs but what you're saying makes sense. You're probably right, because whenever I'm using a face scrub I feel like I'm producing more oil the next day.

Oil can be good in moisturizers and so on...but it has to be really really sort of fluid, not too thick (like mineral oil). If the oil is too thick it just sits on top of the skin because it can't penetrate the skin. I think the more fluid-y oils are more expensive?

It's funny that you mention oil cleansers, I've been looking for one that won't break the bank for a few weeks. It's a pity MB doesn't make any!

I'm curious to know how you guys like the silver powder...

I often use oil cleansers and have tried DHC and Dermalogica's. If that helps...

Has anyone tried the Oil Free Moisturizer with SPF 30 (or 15)? I want a moisturizer with sunscreen in it and my current one (Olay Complete Care) makes my face shiny. Wonder if this one offers enough moisture though...

^I love it! It de-greases and de-clogs my t-zone like nothing else I've ever tried. It's actually super easy to use! You don't have to use a pore strip or do extractions afterwards, but I love my pore strips It really does bring a lot of crap to the surface of the skin. Which is disgusting and fascinating.

I cleanse my skin, slap on the silver powder, wait 10 minutes, remove with the Seaweed toner and exfoliate with the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser. It actually keeps me from getting oily throughout the day! I only get oily on my nostrils and between my brows though. But still.
I do this 2 times a week (I only do extractions once a week, if I do them at all) because wearing buckets of sunscreen 18 hours a day clogs my pores a bit.
