It looks like Faretta. That's the only good thing about it. The pic is very pretentious and ugly.

I can't believe Marie Amélie came up with something like this cover... It's just so 'indie-mainstream' by now... So unoriginal... So cliché and boring... So self conscious... So pretentious... So done...

She should've put more energy on the cover.

It's simple, chic and timeless. I would add a bit expected once you're familiar with MAS's work but i'm curious about the content.

I hope that this will be an opprtunity for MAS to discover new talents and not always rely on her usual contributors.

In prefer that to CR FASHION BOOK...Which was IMO a quite unoriginal name for a magazine.

Why does it make you cringe? At least it's less obvious than CR Fashion Book, and truth be told, Marie Amelie is on the same level as Carine. Imo, that is.

I'm not a fan of this cover at all, not even Faretta can save it. The layout and font type is perfect, but the shot too pretentious.

Considering that Meisel didn't get the cover or even have his name printed first, I'm guessing it will be some sort of feature about him rather than actual new work by him. I mean if Meisel shoots for your new magazine, you're not gonna give him the cover and really make waves?!

I agree. Mirabella's magazine also bore her name. I don't think it's pretentious... It's like designers in general, they use their names for their brands... And I think the name for this one is quite cool.

She is not a designer nor artist. I find it cringeworthy and self-aggrandising.
