MET Costume Institute Gala 2014: "Charles James: Beyond Fashion"

Welp.. looks like the loose interpretations and 'come as I please' brigade have arrived. Can't blame them with regards to the theme.

For me:

Top 3 Best so far: The Beckhams, Rachel McAdams, SJP

Top 3 Worst: Elizabeth Olsen, Shailene Woodley, Nicole Richie (and now, Rita Ora).

Jesus Christ at Rita Ora's dress, I cannot believe Donna Karan would make something so cheap and ice-skaterish looking.

I still don't get why people like SJP so much - did y'all see that atrocious 80s-like branding on the back of the dress... and her hair? Oh well, different strokes!

Liu and Arizona look super beautiful, they stole the show in my opinion!
They are in my top 5, because everything is perfection! Great job! :woot:

Rita Ora's dress is like a ballerina that broke her arm.... :ninja:

Gosh, so many hideous looks so far...
At this point I like Anna Wintour and Haille Steinfeld

Why is Rita Ora there? The top of the dress isn't bad but the bottom is.

I don't think I have ever seen Rita Ora look good despite the fact that she is so ubiquitous.

Beyonce is in Stella McCartney. lmao.

Dita looks like it could be interesting!

Thank god VB didn't go for a mermaid dress, and kept it minimal, and a bit Jacki O with the added bling! She is better even wearing something boring, than something that wants to eat her, aka a mermaid dress.

Elizabeth Olsen, interesting shoes, but my god the shoulders look weird!

Actually I think that's why we love her - she isn't afraid of fully embracing a theme and she doesn't take herself too seriously like the rest of the A-list stars. That's exactly what always makes her stand out and be a fashion darling.
