MET Costume Institue Gala 2025 : Superfine: Tailoring Black Style (The 2025 Met Gala)

I hate how now there’s a pre-red carpet red carpet in the hotels. By the time they get to the Met we already saw the looks, it defeats the whole purpose
Well, I would like them to disguise it a bit! Maybe with a shawl or a jacket that doesn't show it.

I suppose with it being in New York it's almost impossible for the guests to leave without being photographed as most of them are getting ready at the same hotels. If you can beat them join them etc...

Love Lewis Hamilton's look; Pharrell's, however, underwhelming... how are you the creative director LV and you can't even wear trousers that fit?

Quite liking Sydney Sweeney's look. Very noirish femme fatale.

The dandy choir, omg!

Nicole Phelps in Undercover... pretty fabulous! This collection has had a decent amount of coverage after Hunter Schafer was spotted in a mini dress the other day.

Joey King is in Miu Miu/Prada, I guess? Ava DuVernay is behind her.

Jessica Kayll:

Colman’s second look:

Of those you mentioned, only Vittoria Ceretti has not been seen in the Met hotels! The others have.

Callum Turner:

Gigi Hadid:

The hotels want to cash in too I suppose, there’s likely a deal with the celebrities for them to pose there in exchange for the free stay.

Then they could impose to post some pictures the next day thanking the hotel in the caption! The surprise effect is completely ruined.

Coco Jones:

Donatella Versace, Wes Gordon, and Anne Hathaway:

Colman's very adorable husband:

@Avonlea - I do agree. I probably sound like a broken record saying this every year but I wish people (as in people on the internet) weren't so militant about the guests "following" the theme. Before the 2000s no one ever really followed the theme! And so we're left with a bunch of overstyled looks. I think the only person so far who has pulled that kind of look off is Teyana Taylor in Marc Jacobs x Ruth E. Carter.
