i was looking at the pictures, and there was this one at the end of the show, and erin o'connor had her arm around devon aoki, and devon seriously came up to about her shoulder

I think a lot of models are taller than we give them credit for... I'm 5'8 and I have a friend who's 6'1, and she's sooo tall. I think that if there are girls like Tanya, Tiiu, and Hana, who are 6'1-ish, I doubt designers cast girls who are noticably shorter than the other girls in their shows.

Yeah, girls like Oluchi Onweagba and Michelle Buswell who are 6'2" don't get as much runway work because they are just too tall.

^ True, they either do haute couture shows or, when they do RTW, they come near the end of the show in the ridiculously overbearing clothes. Girls like Mona, Leah, Irina, and Sasha (the 5'6-5'8.5 set) tend to walk out around the same time, with the girls like Gemma, Natasha, Freja, and the Lilys tend to walk out after them (the 5'9-5'11's), then the giantesses like Tiiu, Oluchi, Michelle, and Hana (6'+) go last.

i think the reason michelle busell doesnt' get cat mroe in shows is cuz they don't liek her look as much and she wears a bigger size--same with oluchi. being 6.2 , its hard to wear the smae size as really skinny 5.8's. hana gets tons of work, becaus despite being a giantess, she can wear the smae size as the other models. if you notice, she often gets the splashy finale pieces. i tink her face isn't excetionally stiking--so its definitely her frame that gets her sooo much work. .

Anouck Lepere is 5'7 or something around that, I believe. This was confermed by so many people in here, including those, who probably met her personally. So if Lonneke is the same height as her, I'm deeply surprised... She had been listed at 5'8 1/2 all her modeling life, before she switched to IMG, who list her at 5'9... But, maybe, she's grown a bit... The reason it surprised me is that she's from Holland and as far as I heard everyone is so freaking tall there... I was even wondering how she got through the must've been hard competition with the other models from her agency in Holland to be the one spotted by the NYC scout and to make it in the international market... And, I always thought it was rather ironic that, if in the other countries, models stand out as taller-than-avarage people, Lonneke, who was a lead Holland model for quite some time was rather avarage for her country...

most models are tall. it is not a misconception. some may be only 5'8" or 5'9" but hardly any are taller than that. i work in the industry and have met anouck, sasha, lonneke, marina perez and other so called "shorties", though they are short by model standards they were taller than me and i am 5'7". the girls have to be tall to make the clothes looks good. maybe some are 5'7", like mona and bianca, but most are close to the height the agency lists.

don't forget that kate moss is not that tall. I read that Shannon Click was 173cms then it's around 5'7. I think that muccia prada want that shorts girl are more noticables.

Oh and Sasha really got good seasons since FW05 imo. and she's 5'7. And tanya got a really good season too. So i think it can depend on your popularity also.

polina k is only 5'8'' ish, but she definately looks taller IMO
and don't forget Devon, who's probably the shortest model ever. There was this editorial with Devon and Kate Moss I saw from a few years ago, and Kate was at least 3-ish inches taller than Devon (who according to some ppl who have seen her say is about 5'3'')

i think she only was used due to family connections--- like paris hilton. IMO she should have never been a model--- she is a prety girl, would be a lovely actress--- but her body makes many clothes look like poop.
