Models Who Aren't That Tall

^^ I don't care if models are 5'5". But from everything anyone has said about Kate and Mona (minus you), neither of them are 5'5". 5'6" is pretty much the consensus for both.

But anyway, I've met Mona several times, and there's no way she's just 5'5.

If you ask her in private she'll say 5'6.5'', and imo that's [pretty close to] the thruth. She's a midget compared to your average model, and she never stands up straight in pics, but she's really not that short. Definitely not under 5'6.

I always thought Sasha was 5'7", but I'm hearing from models that she is around 5'8", which seems probable aswell. I'd say no shorter than 5'7" though def.
I'm 171 (5'7")!! Wahoo! Not. I've always wanted to be 5'11". I don't think models realize how lucky they are to have long sexy legs!

I still don't believe that. But ah well. I know one thing though, Lydia Hearst is NOT 5'7". She's 5'5", definitely. (I seem to like that mearument a lot (5'5") ) Hrmm.

I agree. It is apparent that they are wearing the same shoes, you can see the same heel, and they are both standing in the same pose, and cameras are not that deceiving. An inch is not even that big of a difference, it's hardly noticeable, so I don't see why everyone is freaking out about the oh-so-scary 5'5".

There are numerous models on Select's verve board that are listed as 5'5" and 5'6" and we all know that what they are listed as is far from the truth. There is Mona, and Felicity, who is/was definitely under 5'6" when her modeling was at its peak, and Ruslana, and many other models who are maximum 5'7", though I'm sure many will argue with me.

Sure, there is no tangible proof, but there is enough coincidences and bits of information that point out the obvious for those willing to acknowledge it. It just goes to prove that exceptions are definitely possible and not as rare as one may initially think. Unfortunately, the chances are much slimmer and success is limited, BUT that does not make it impossible.

For random example, girls can be rejected at heights of 5'7" and 5'8" for being "too short," when in reality, other girls of those same heights would be gladly taken in and made into the next model star.

It all comes down to look, luck, passion, & perseverence, and some people are just unwilling to accept that.

They are lucky and beautiful, and the designer things they wear look wonderful on them, But I can't help but always think about the 5'11" and 6 footers who are on the scene for a few seasons then leave -life for them doesn't seems so glamorous to me, trying to find pants that fit, trying to find guys who aren't intimidated by your height, dancing (and trying to not look like and akward pole with flailing limbs), eventually being 57 and not so beautiful but still very tall, maybe no longer wearing heels because in the real world they make you even more gargantuan rather than stuningly tall and lithe like on the runway

Yeah, I have a feeling agencies lie less than this thread implies ... most models are TALL. Like, at least 5'9". Of course there are a few exceptions, but I think this thread polarises the height-lying phenomenon.

Well we never said they were a group of masquerading pygmies. Models lie about their height, and measurements as well- Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum have both confirmed this, and they are at the very top of modeling, have nothing to loose and can admit these things.

One must bear in mind that even when we "out" the shorties, for every Kate Moss there are five Hilary Rhodas, three Gemma Wards and a Tiiu Kuik.

most models are 5'9", but there are like 50% of models that are a given an inch. Like, Lara Stone is only 5'8", but they give her a 5'9", because she LOOKS 5'9". Whatever the model can pull off.
Same goes for a model being 6'0" and above, the agency lists them at no more than 5'11" (unless it's extremely noticable ie:Tiiu Kuik)

A new model at Supreme Model Management called Meghan Collison, is listed as 5'11" (180), but I'd say more like 5'8"(173), or 5'7"(171).
