Models Who Aren't That Tall

They're both wearing flats but Irina still towers over her and she's still growing...

I don't think Irina's still growing, she's almost 18. Maybe like a 1/4 inch taller, but for her sake I hope she won't have a late growth spurt :ninja:

Are there any good pics of Irina and Karlie together? I want to see the battle of the two towers.

Valentine Fillol-Cordier. I've seen her listed as 5'8.5 and 5'7.5, although I think she is even shorter...she looks tiny to me.

Zippora Seven was first listed as 5'3 (163) when she started and is now listed as 5'7.5 at Elite. Her lack of height doesn't seem to be affecting her career, she has worked in all the major fashion capitals and has appeared in French Vogue and Australian Vogue several times. Does anyone know of any other models who were/are listed as anything less than 5'5? Because most of the models in this thread are between 5'6 and 5'8 :)

so just for fun and to keep on discussing:
1)so i wonder what's the minimum height for a fashion model?
2)is 5'9 (1.75) considered short for a model?
3)and if you have any idea what's the average height? which i believe to be around 5'10

1) its usually ATLEAST 5'7", although most agencies say 5'9". It can be as low as 5'5" but you have to be breathtakingly unique/beautiful and rather slim to appear longer.

2) thats usually what agencies list as their minimum height. Its not short at all. Although Next management has this thing where they say 5'10" is the "ideal", but yeah thats just them trying to weed people out.

3) The average model is 5'11"

:flower:

Im barely 5'7" and I have two people after me ;) ahah

Thanks Bamhutt, interesting article.

Apart from Kate Moss, the only really successful high fashion model I can think of who is less than 5ft 7in is Mona Johannesson (5ft 6.5in), and I think the only reason she became successful was because people saw a bit of Kate Moss waifishness in her. (Although i must say I never noticed the resemblance.)

It's a pity really because I'm sure there are plenty of really interesting and beautiful 5ft 6in girls out there who would make great models, at least for editorials, and Mona of course is the perfect example. Her editorial work is fantastic and you certainly don't notice she's a couple of inches on the short side.

1) I would say 5'8, with means 5'9 once you are signed ;). It can be a little less if you have an amazing face and very long limbs, but in this case catwalk will be seriously limited.
2) It's ok, but 1-2 inches taller is better
3) I also think is around 5'10... at least officially.

I think it depends on what you consider successful. Many VS and Sports Illustrated models are making big, big bucks, and are a few inches shorter than their high fashion counterparts. A lot of the girls making money in more commerical aspects in general aren't as tall; to be a succesful catwalk model, however, yes- you better be pretty Amazonian.

I thought Julia was like 6' tall :o but Luca does seem really small there.

yeah, Luca is short maybe 5'6" (168cm) or 5'7" (171cm)

and isnt Julia Stegner about 6'0"?

I thought Julia is around 181, maybe 182. I can't believe Luca is even 5'7. The difference in these pix is huge!
