I don't live without mirriors, I have a full length one beside my closet, I carry one in my purse every where I go. I check my self in almost every mirror I walk past by just to look for my flaw.

Last night I was trying on some clothing I had purchased during the day and I became mad at the mirror - I started thinking to myself "this mirror is totally inaccurate and is slimming you beyond reality" I dont think I've ever experienced such a neurotic response Maybe it was b/c sometimes the mirrors in shops are so wonky

Yes, Ladybug. I agree with you, some mirrors are more friendly than others. I am used to my reflection in my bedroom mirror but it is a lbright big room. In shops poor light distorts everything (especially in shops and LIFTS! )

I didn't have a full length mirror for ages. I used to have to run and check in someone else's mirror if it was important. Now I have a giant (8 foot high by 4 foot wide) gilded mirror (but my bed is placed up against it so i use a different mirror).

That said, yes it's important to see what you look like overall, but i don't think women should become obsessed with looking in the mirror constantly to make sure an outfit is perfect. I think the occassions for most women should be rare when an outfit has absolutely no functionality other than to look good.

haha i totally agree in my old school there used to be full length mirrors everywhere and all the girls checked their attire there constantly. it was quite hilarious considering we wore a uniform but well yes, girls are vain

this reminds me of a story my professor told us in creative thinking class

there was a hotel with a slow lift. guests complained about the wait, and soon the manager was forced to hire someone to solve the problem. within a day the man came up with a cheap, yet effective solution that resolved the situation.

when i heard this i laughed because it reflected the truth about people's vanity- everytime there's a mirror, we can't help but look

but it is true about the full-length mirror...many a time i've pictured an outfit in my head, only to find that it doesn't work as well as i thought it would

I had to do that as well Got my self a full length mirror last year though, so luckily I dont have that problem anymore!

I totally, utterly and completely AGREE. I have been without my beautiful wooden full-length mirror for a month since I've moved... I need to purchase another ASAP... it's just always helpful to see how everything looks... together... not just my top part in the bathroom mirror...

I've had to stand on something in the bathroom, as well. In fact... I did that yesterday, with a chair in front of the mirror/sink... but it was too tall, so I had to bend my head down so my whole body was in the mirror. ridiculous.

I full-length mirrors!! I've been wanting one for SO long, yet I have no idea where to put it in my room since there's almost no space. But I always make sure to pass by the full-length mirror in my mother's room and all the mirrors on my way to the door before leaving the house! B)

haha hey that used to be me, I live in this minimalistic styled studio and the ONLY mirror was in the bathroom and they were only half mirrors so I stood on my seat for the longest time!!! Till my neighbour moved out and she gave me her full length mirror, which currently stands just next to the door and across the walkway to my bathroom, where I can preen to my heart's content!!!!!!! Best spot if there ever was one!!!
