Most Overpriced Designer?

There are quite a few brands this applies to, see dirty underwear a few posts ago, but I would classify the genre of "can you belive we made this? isn't this HILARIOUS?!" that plagues fashion brands as "overpriced". I know Karl did it a lot and so did Margiela and lots of others but it was supported by some kind of real design proposition. To me, Comme sewing two poloshirts together is not really that but more an exercise in visual gimmicks just for the sake of virality (I guess? but I don't know). The idea that clothes can be interesting yet "wearable" and beautiful (which means something else for everybody!) seems to have vanished from customer- and brand-side. Comme used to be one of the few brands left actually having interesting cuts, special fabrications, etc. - but this? Who is buying this? What is this for? People rightfully hate on Balenciaga for stuff like this. Same goes for these Loewe bags. Besides showing off that you have so much disposable money that you can buy these things, what is the point? Is anybody actually wearing this?? Not to Ralph Rucci all over the place, as I certainly am not a champion for "good taste", but I'm always fascinated by how (luxury) brands where able to, just in a few years, go from having actually designed clothes to selling sweatshirts and chinos as ready to wear and these stupid gimmicks as acessoires. But I guess that's capitalism for you...

They take Apple Pay, which might be the most dangerous drunk browse in the history of the internet. :ninjas:
