wow, I really see what he meant by the "really cool girls", these ladies can steal anyone's thunder.

I love that they are cool while still retaining their femininity and not becoming glamazons.

well, a galamazon attitude is always uncool in my book;)
the way an oversized leather jacket is paired with a completely "useless" flou skirt, or the easiness of the zip-ups and the dresses..it's all very nonchalant, and maybe a little bit angsty, but oh-so-cool.

oh and I think the show was well received by the press as well. The applause was really long and loud..even Anna Wintour clapped extra long and she even sort of smiled when Olivier came out.

I take back what I said about the collection earlier - I don't need to see more pics. It's absolutely amazing. If his future collections are as great as this one, I might just have another favorite designer.

I'm really interested to hear what kimair has to say about the collection. kimair, where are you? Wake up! :hardhead:

He deserves it! Olivier's has had a pretty hard life since last summer!

wow love this collection... love that yellow;green dress love that drapery and it is gorgeous... wow this is more than a good start..

There's too many white... But the hair is great! And I love Snejana's short grey and Kim's long grey outfit ^_^

I really dont care for this. It's just...limp...that's the best way to put it.

^^I love those boots! The rest of the shoes aren't so good, however.

I love it! And I like the hair, too. :)

Agreed!!^_^ I was hoping that he would tighten and sharpen, or at least stay with his signature "long", quietly elegant Rochas looks, but the grey, washed-out volumes, the romantic "flowy" mermaid vibe...... :(, that's out of sync with Paris.

Oh man, this show is emotional in a way. Personally I think it's a really strong collection, it's much softer than the other shows but you need that diversity and this is so well done. I see so many great simple pieces and I love the severity of the total presentation, the ostrich feathers and the accessories are amazing. In that sense this collection has a similar vibe to his early work. Good job Olivier!

I've come to expect a lot from Olivier, so this, imho, is a half-hearted collection @ best. There are several beautiful pieces and the daywear in particular is the brightest light in the collection but as a whole it's so average and tired. I wish he'd work under his own name again. No house, even his admirable work @ Rochas, seems to suit him completely.
