Noemie Lenoir

^She reminds me of a character called "White Queen" from X-Men. I suppose the name (not literally) suits her well.

Nice VS clips from YouTube. It's disgusting the undersized role she was given in the 2007 VS show. But in her case she was high in quality not quantity.

Could it be the makeup or does Noemie's lips look fuller? Quite frankly, it doesn't matter. She looks too luscious.

The roaring ocean, the moist sand and Noemie with that come hither look. Elements you can't resist.

I'm enjoying Noemie's beautiful arched eyebrows. It's noticable under her curly locks that sits above it.

In this third installment of the popular action comedy franchise, LAPD Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) and Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) book a flight for Europe and prepare to clean up the streets of Paris after discovering that Chinese Triads have extended their criminal influence to the City of Lights. Chinese Ambassador Han (Tzi Ma) is in Los Angeles and about to reveal the details of a clandestine triad conspiracy to the World Criminal Court when an assassin takes aim and pulls the trigger. Though Carter has been demoted to directing traffic at the time of the shooting, Lee is acting as a bodyguard to Han when the bullets begin to fly. Lee quickly gives chase, but hesitates when he realizes that the gunman is Kenji (Hiroyuki Sanada), his old friend from the orphanage. When triads steal an envelope containing vital information regarding the conspiracy from Soo Young (Zhang Jingchu)'s Chinatown kung-fu studio, Carter and Chief Inspector Lee race to reach Genevieve (Noemie Lenoir), an underground entertainer who could prove the key to bagging the bad guys. During the course of their investigation, however, triads clash with the French police, threatening to turn the romance capitol of Europe into an explosive hotbed of crime and violence. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

In my head Marks and Spencer was rather a rather old-fashioned English brand, not the kind of place where you can find lingerie, and much less an Noemie Lenoir elongated in a totally cute!
Apparement les choses ont bien changé et la campagne de pub n’est pas pret de vous faire oublier Marks and Spencer … et encore moins Noemie.
Apparently things have changed and the advertising campaign is not ready to make you forget Marks and Spencer… much less Noemie.

interesting article-Noemie has done YSL runway
Past Models of Yves Saint Laurent: Mimi Roche (Spring 2007 rtw), Sasha Gaye-Hunt (Fall 2007 rtw) and Marie Fuema (Spring 2006 rtw).

Tianna of ConcreteLoop.com sent me an article by The Washington Post titled “Back in Fashion.” It’s a profile on YSL’s creative director Stefano Pilati. So I’m reading it with marginal interest until I came across the following few passages:

Pilati reflected the spirit of the house in his choice of models for the fall show. Saint Laurent was known for celebrating black models and in a season when they were especially absent on the runways, Pilati, at least, had one.

"In the '70s, to have black models in Paris and Europe was sort of a message of having an open mind," Pilati says. "We were definitely less used to races crossing lines. It was definitely something coming from America."

Saint Laurent "was very sensitive to that. It was helping to add exoticism to the collection and to embrace the multicultural aspect of the work."

Why aren't there more black models working today? "To me, it is a matter of proportions and the bodies I choose. My fit model was a black model," he says. "When I wanted to translate what I put on her, it was a disaster. It would need 13 times more work in the atelier to modify it to put on a more Caucasian anatomy.

"Sometimes, it's not your choice. You can't find [black models] that are beautiful and with the right proportions. I prefer them with lean proportions with no big hips."

Big hips? A dearth of beautiful black models? This from the designer who characterizes himself as the best salesman for his clothes.

Okay let’s hold-up, wait-a-minute, and rewind. “You can't find [black models] that are beautiful and with the right proportions.” If by beautiful you mean wafer thin, with their ribs sticking out and their knees knobbling from lack of food consumption, then I’m not surprised you couldn’t find “beautiful black models.” Who does he think he is? And in any case, the many black models I see walking the runways are smaller than the average sista I know. How much altering did the fit model's clothes really need? And I’m guessing Mr. Pilati isn’t in the least bit interested in appealing to the ever-increasing market of highly paid, powerful and professional black women around the world. He really needs to open his eyes and take note of the fact that women come in all shapes and sizes. I can’t imagine why he would think no hips are better than hips… THAT IS WHAT MAKES US FEMALE!!!! What are your thoughts?

Kanye West had to bow out of performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in LA last night for obvious reasons, but never fear! The Spice Girls, who look mostly the same, although the majority of them have gotten way, way skinnier, were on hand to lend their peforming services. This may or may not have been disastrous. I’ll need to check it out when it airs.
I’ll give it to Victoria’s Secret. With Jessica White, Selita Ebanks, and Noemie Lenoir stomping down the catwalk, they’ve got one up on most designers that show during fashion week. Three black models don’t exactly make an army (although there could have been more that weren’t pictured), but still
