Nudity

I glad small chested women are being represented as the increasing presence of "bike pump silicone saline boob fakes", as lady grey put, gives a very wrong impression of what real women, including skinny teenagers, look like. There is this real myth that all women have largish chests, even if you are not really thin or young, you can be fairly flat and you are still a woman.

has anybody dout that a flat girl is not agirl?
sorry im leaving. i cant hear this bullsh*t anymore. have the young ladies here complexes? why so hysteric?

sorry, but you as a 16 years old girl dont need o tell me (fashion photographer, master of arts (design) to explain the advantage of small boobs regards to presenting clothes.
have i ever said that big boobs are better and small tasteless? i said thats only in case of gemma and could look like childporn to the public. and if you dont see the implicit role of sex in fashion you are too young and naively...

First of all I'm not exactly sure why you are accusing me of being 16 when I am 17 not that it makes much of a difference, not to mention my father is very well-known in this industry, and though I may be young/naive/ignorant/whatever, my whole life has revolved around the industry and I know more than you would assume. I realize that you are entititled to your opinion and I respect that but I was only voicing mine and making a great attempt to be discreet about it. What if there is an implicit role of sex in fashion? Either way, I personally don't see any photos of Gemma's as tasteless or "childporn." That's all I was saying.

There is nothing implicitly distasteful about child nudity -it's the human form, and it's beautiful. What makes child p*rn*gr*phy wrong is the exploitation of the subject. That's really not an issue here.

Also, whilst there is (arguably) a sexual aspect to all fashion -that's just one aspect. There's a sexual aspect to everything in life, because sexuality is part of the human condition. Whilst you could probably find a sexual aspect to 'accidental' catwalk nudity -it will, or should, at least, always be secondary to the clothes. This is completely different to p*rn*gr*phy -which is about the sexual aspect, and nothing else.

Oh, and I have no idea how all this 'status in the fashion industry' talk is relevant... people will respect your opinions based on how valid they are, not on how important you think you are.
(Like, I don't work in the fashion industry, and Anna Wintour owns it, but I still think US Vogue is rubbish... :p )

look at this top. do you really think nobody before has been aware that her boobs will pop out on he catwalk? are you so naively?

:innocent: well to be honest, in her case, shirtless or not, u cant really tell the difference..

that in no way is a diss to women with small breasts, im just saying that when a designer decides to let a little nipple show, the model usually isnt a C cup..i think its because small breasts dont make it look as vulgar as big ones..

but hey, thats enough talk about boobs for one day

it has nohing to do with my status. but me and other photographers and designer hav a public responsibility and we decide the look of the models. thats a very important question due to the fact that the girls getting younger and younger. and when we talk aboiut nudity on catwalk it the most interesting point. that nipples pop out is not interesting.
do you tell you father how to menage his company? sory, he built up the company not you 17 years old girl. you, you will be maybe in one of my castings. please more respect, you have the opportunity here to talk with me.
in real life i wouldnt do. i had not he opinion that flat chest is tasteless.
a 18 y old or 19 y old can be flat but a woman. a 15 year old face can be older with a woman-like body. but a 13 y old face with 10 y old boobs does not belong on stage, the catwalk...

Extramax,

I love how you throw around ( I AM FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER) Self proclamed And I have a master of arts design, That is so lame. Your like 35 years old and your all upset, and ranting and raving. Anyways who do you shoot for, If your so major why dont you say what your name is, who your rep is, and so on. You dont here testino running around saying look at me I have a LAW Degree. Its so uncalled for. Look at you saying crap like My castings, Like you have mida and remy calling you every 15 min saying o you have got to see this girl. Yo should spend less time typing messages and some time in english classes.

EDIT

This is ridiculous.

extramax, if we should only give weight to the opinions of those high-up in the fashion industry, you shouldn't be giving opinions about Gemma -as obviously people with more influence than you have spoken, and decided to put her on every runway. Seemingly, there, your awesome influence wasn't felt :D :innocent: ...

If you really have a great insight into the fashion industry because of your experience -share that, don't just rant immaturely about how much cooler than everyone else you are.

extramax, you've been ranting and raving and acting like a little girl more than anyone else you are pointing your fingers at.
why don't you take a cue from the many other fashion photographers on this board who act with a lot more humility and don't just go around flauting their 'status' and who act with a lot more composure and maturity when other people disagree with them. no one here is going to be impressed by you even if you are some real hot shot photographer.
just look at the way you conduct yourself. you assume everyone who disagree with your point of view as being young teenage girls with no insight into the business and then you attack them personally with some sacarstic come back as if that would really help you to make your point.
you think gemma ward's nipple slip was child p*rn and tasteless? you throwing around the word 'fashion photographer' and treating everyone else with no respect in such a condescending matter is far more tasteless and far more obvious.

The most beautiful nudes in the fashion/hollywood history were shot by Herb Ritts, No doubt about it, they were classy.

The latest Kate Moss nudes by Terry Richardson are vulgar, tacky nudes.

Truer words ne'er were spoken. So perfectly put - I applaud you, uberwench, as one of the few voices of articulate reason here...

EDIT: Ooh, just had a thought. All this talk of Gemma's, ah, "slipping out", reminds me of the Janet Jackson furore, albeit on a much smaller scale. Personally, I don't get it. It's just a nipple. Come to England - land of Maxim, FHM and Abi Titmuss - and you can stare at gargantuan breasts galore over your breakfast whilst reading the paper. That great British institute, Page 3, is still going strong in all its tacky glory. I think it's safe to say Gemma's nipple slip won't be ending up on those hallowed pages: she'd be dwarfed by all the overinflated bimbos that are currently populating it.
