NN and Undercover are becoming one of those gallery scene labels in New York. Not a lot of people wear them, but those who do have a lot of money - so you don't need to sell a lot of it to make a profit with that niche. Case in point, I was at Atelier the other day, and there was this fat, short, middle aged, scruffy artist in absolutely ridiculous $1000 Paul Hardnen pants trying on a ton of N(N) (including the fleece shirt :p ).

With the white dog? If so, I know who you're talking about. He and I always end up buying the same items, but he has much more money to blow on designer fashion. Personally, despite my much lower income bracket, I think I look better in the pieces! :p

How much are the blazers going for in NY store?

the one button short blazers around $1200. the black tux blazers a little more...i can't remember the exact figures.

Thanks Arthur77, the pricing doesn't seem too crazy. Is it like 30% cheaper in Japan?

You're welcome.
I, too, was about to ask our fellow TFSers in Japan about the prices there.

No dog, but he had blonde hair (bleached?). And yes, you would look immesureably better :flower:

I tried on the tux blazer at Jeffrey. A size 2 was snug on me (I wear 46 or 48 depending on the designer, but more a 46 nowadays except for the back, as I've been working out more lately). The armholes were rather high and fitted too, although I didn't think the jcket was short enough. $1850 for the jacket, I believe (the pants were on the same hanger, but I don't think they were included in the price).

And thanks faust - I know exactly who you're talking about!

Sounds like I will like it! I might go take a look at the Washington Street store - I have a friend with a connection with the designer so it might be slightly more reasonable than full price, who knows. However, I just put in an order with an acquaintance in Japan, and hopefully I'll be getting this instead:

It's quite reasonable at less than $500! hopefully it will come in - and fit!:D

very nice jacket!! i wished Lad Musician is available here in nyc, but then again it would probably be marked up like crazy, as with all Japanese labels here.

i wished i had someone in Japan whom i can place orders with.
;)

You can always try that bid service dude - http://www.bid-service.jp/home.html
I think he will be up for placing orders in all kinds of stores in japan, not just online ones. He seems like a nice guy.
Have you used him before? If so,, and he seems reputable this could be very bad... for my wallet!

My friends have used him, they say he responds quite fast and is helpful. Also heard good things from superfuture forums. Personally I've never tried him, but if I was to get anything from Japan I'd order from him.

If you're not feeling secure with him, you could always go with other services - http://www.rinkya.com/index.php - but it costs alot and I don't know how well they are. You can ask around about this to be sure. Or you can always save your hard earned cash and fly to Japan yourself. It'll be cheaper and you'll get to try before you buy ^_^

Thanks so much for this resource, Honey~Blade.
If I end up with a successful transaction with them, i'll be sure to post it here.

:D

Yes, thanks indeed for the resource, Honey~Blade! And Arthur77, are you going to try and pick up something from Lad Musician? If so, let me know! We may have to start a thread for them instead of hijacking Number (N)ine's! :D
