Olivier Theyskens - Designer

I saw him this August on the plane from Toronto to Newark. Although I recognised him immediately, what really confirmed it was that he was looking through the latest US Vogue (the one with Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette on the cover)! He was wearing baggy jeans, a grey t-shirt and aviator glasses. But his companion (also very cute) looked quite a bit more stylish.
Anyway, I eventually plucked up the nerve to go up to him, wish him luck and tell him how talented I think he is. I can't wait to see what he does at Nina Ricci!
=O toronto? i never knew he was in toronto that time
you are so lucky >_<
you can tell it was him even with him having glasses on? very good

That was during the resort collections (yes?). Perhaps he was stopping off in Canada before New York and attending the shows (he sat front row at Oscar De La Renta with Anna Wintour).

I couldn't think of why he would have been in Toronto either. My only guess was that he was taking a North American holiday after what happened at Rochas. (This was before I heard about his new position at Nina Ricci). He and his travel companion were flying economy (!) so I don't think they were working. They were both adorable. And he seemed a little shy, but pleased when I went up to him.
Yeah... seeing him in such an unexpected place totally made my whole month!

The lack of Rochas on the S/S 07 runway kind of depressed me... I mean, I didn't know that I would miss Rochas so much

OOOH
Olivier T. you noble prince of prer-a-chic where are thou???

Yeah, I must admit there was notable absence in the Paris shows, it was one collection shy of the usual feeling of anxiety and excitement.

Nina Ricci A/W 07-08 will be the most anticipated show of the season.

mental note to self: unless otherwise proven, all designers are gay - especially the pretty ones :(

and i was *shocked* top hear there will be more more Rochas.. i was just beginning to appreiciate that aesthetic and like it. damn. also late in catching up!

Nina Ricci? Sounds a boring house. i wish he would open his own house, though he's a little too young for that.

on a side note - does anyone know how he maintains his glossy mane?
