i cant help but think that nicolla formichetti tried to steal his thunder with his last mugler colection but albeit with ALOT less finesse.

I loooooove this collection! It's a pity that such an amazing designer is so overrated!

Before I didn't really understand the hype around this young designer. But this collection has changed all that. He so far seems consistent so I think he'll be a designer that I'll look forward to. There is just something fresh and innovative that is being brought to the table, at a time when I find that a lot of the shows kinda bore me now.

I'm his big fan...Love the use of fabrics and his signature peeks of skins.

love the maturity of his designs. a breath of fresh air. shapes , details and materials use are divine. a name to watch out for in the next few seasons.

His use of fur and cut is amazing! And most importantly, he is sooooo young!

A Brazilian's Take on Geometry
By SUZY MENKES
Published: March 9, 2011

PARIS — Geometry is the most powerful message to come out of the autumn 2011 fashion season — and sometimes it is a fresh designer who sees most clearly how to redraw fashion’s architecture.

Pedro Lourenco made a collection of intersecting lines that varied from dresses sliced off one shoulder, with stripes set diagonally; to tops where transparency gave glimpses of flesh between horizontal applications of fur.

This linear approach was interesting from a Brazilian designer who might have been expected to cut on the curve. The designer’s first outing last year, at age 19, was a more rigidly constructed leather piece. This season, Marlene Dietrich in “Blonde Venus” was the starting point. But there was no retro feeling to graphic looks, played out in black and white, with flashes of yellow, blue and red, making an interesting but wearable collection.
