Post a Totally Random Moment From Fashion History...

That dude is delusional
People like him are successful but usually have no real lasting impact or legacy because it’s all fluff but more power to him. Get money! I wish him well but I would like to see him do something substantial

Although, he definitely stole (and trademarked) “image architect” from Misa Hylton
“Image architect” definitely describes Misa. She used fashion to help nail down a well-defined image for Mary & Kim, who were two of the most in-demand performers in those days. To this day, I still dream of a group Halloween costume where we all do her fashions from “Crush On You”…with me in the blue, of course.

But Law Roach? Sure, he puts fantastic actresses in fantastic designer clothes. But what IMAGE is he trying to build with his work? Eff if I know (??)

I hate it when high fashion tries to be "rELAtAbLe". It's so cringe. Like, just give people the elitist fantasy and move on.
This is so true. So many designers these days try to pull this "down with the people" thing to seem cool. Funny enough, a good chunk of them express anti-capitalist/socialist views (which is reasonable) as they sell their 2'000 euro "vegan silk" (aka polyester) dresses.

This is why I have a certain level of respect for mid-priced sustainable brands (not so much admiration, as I find them way too bland and homely) as their goals of offering sustainable clothing at a democratic "fair" price point aligns with that ideology.
