Right. I have the second pair (purchased from Zappos; I don't trust ioffer one bit) so are they just from a different season since the soles are different?

Velony, does it say yours are made in Italy? Mine say China which has me thinking...

ocean i own a pair of authentic mbymj flats (not the mouse ones) that have the same sole of the black pair you've posted, but i've never seen the mouse ones in balck patent so i dont know. the first pair is surely authentic the second i dont know?
(plus mine are made in italy)

no wait, i've just checked mine - the sole it's similiar with the circles and al, but it's not the same. i guess they're fake, sorry:|

Wait, so mine are fake? Because they're made in China, right? Damn. Also, there's no SKU number on the inside; do yours have that?

That's weird that zappos would sell fakes. They came neatly with a box too. I'm going to contact them about it. I haven't worn them yet so I'll probably return them.

^that's too bad, sorry to hear that :( i would never have guessed that zappos would sell you a fake

I dunno maybe zappos just doesn't properly check their stocks for things like this?
*sigh* It can't be helped, I guess. Back to looking again. I can't find these anywhere anymore :(

I can't imagine Zappos would sell fake shoes. I do remember that Bluefly once sold fake Chloe handbags though.
If I remember correctly some Marc Jacobs items are indeed made in China. I think some of my clothes have the made in China tag. I will check my mouse flats when I get home tonight.

i dont know it might be the soles are different
here are my shoes for comparison
(authentic, bought in store)

oceane... well both you're pictures are from ioffer which is the "it" place for fakes.. that's not a picture of your shoes that you bought from zappos, right?

I don't think that zappos would be selling counterfeits.. :)

Yeah they're just pictures I found on google for comparisons. That's not a picture of my shoes, though in the second picture, the sole is identical to mine. I'll try and get some pictures of mine up.
I think I'll just contact zappos and ask them.

Velony: thanks, I'd appreciate that.

mistressf: do yours have a SKU number on the inside? Mine don't have anything.

They're a bit too big, but I love them anyway

Yes, you have to be careful about 'Made in China". A very large quantity of legitimate designer items are made there which makes it all that much more difficult to identify counterfeits.

I believe both are made in the same plants in some cases. Legitimate items go out the front door, counterfeits go out the back door. It would be a very simple way for plants to make extra money. They may even be seconds (lower quality or contain flaws) that aren't disclosed.

serenity*now, the marnis are in a world by themselves...one thing about marni is you always know it when you see it...done right. kudos to you.
