Prada F/W 2011.12 : Antonia, Dorte, Frida, Julia, Kelly & Ondria by Steven Meisel

There are too many colours, textures, clothes, accessories and bodies in each shot - it over-compensates for what is actually going on in each image, which is absolutely nothing.
The models are clumsily crammed in together and awquardly posed in several of the shots and the accessory shots are confused and do not make the items apparent.
Due to the interesting angle, the comfortable poses and the calm assembly of colours, this is the best image of the campaign.

I actually love the campaign, it just works for me. Great colours, shows the clothes and bags well and that's the main point of a campaign.
I'm only really out of touch with all those new models though, I'm noticing. I've never heard of any of those girls except for Frida obviously.

This is such a simple and beautiful campaign, easily one of the best recent Prada ones.-

I guess we won´t be getting a video campaign this season if it´s not up by now?

Anyway, I´m really happy they cast so many girls and presented so many outfits.

^Well, last season it came practically at the same time as the shots, and we´ve had a least a teaser for F/W 10. Fingers crossed they will release it soon, though.

I like the theme and and the way it was set the campaign, i think they did a good work.
But in relation to the cast of models, i didn't like it at all, including Frida. I just don't understand why is it that Prada likes to use fresh faces that nobody knows, if they can pay more higher models. What i mean is that in the fashion world some girls got picked as models because of their exotic beauty, but which beauty it's not understand by people who's outside that world and "even" by people that's inside. So it looks that these girls does not satisfy any of the sides. I just can't see the good marketing strategy.

^ It's all about selling the Products, these girls may as well be headless mannequins. Prada is all about Money, they want you to see the clothes/bags not the girl wearing it. The best example of this would be S/S09 where all the girls looked practically identical.. I don't mind because I enjoy seeing the clothes more than the models, and this campaign does a marvelous job of showcasing the collection.

I hate the left side of that photo so much. I'm really getting tired of seeing that girl in all of my new August Magazines. She looks like she's dead or in a trance.
