Prada for H&M?

as exciting as it is to have designers make lower priced clothing, i HATE h&m. i've been twice to the one in SF and both times i was appalled at the lack of quality and awkward fit of the clothes. though i can't afford high end pieces, i cant stand cheap knock offs!

just because something LOOKS like the stuff on the runways, i cant overlook the poor quality of the clothes. i'd rather shop at a thrift store and buy high end clothing for cheap than new cheap crap

lol it is kinda odd, but it seems like they use an italian cut or something in their clothes because they fit so tightly

interesting
i wonder what it would look like..hum..
hard to imagine her style in H&M though

H&M already copies, so why not make it official?

this also become svery funny when you look at the issue of their magazine for spring/summer (yes, they have one)..in a little blurb about the design team, they can be quotes as saying, "we don't copy.." okay..:innocent:

there is a dress in store right now, it's a short geometric print thing with a tie under the bust, i can tell they copied a vintage pattern stitch for stich, even the facings on the dress are old-fashion, i can just tell...

..this opened my eyes to the fact that probabbly every third piece they have is a direct copy one way or another. look around, peter pan collars, buttons in the back, it's very obvious once you see the stuff on a regular basis.

That would be awsome..... but it doesn't sound like something Prada would do.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hmmm i dunno, i doubt it will affect Prada's sells though...

The heck with it!! Prada needs a cheaper MIU MIU line

I can see this happening, since many of the catwalk outfits Prada does usually get "H&M-ized"...

What - you mean, H&M clothes fit tightly? You must be kidding :ninja: I find their sizing very, very generous. I'm always a size S (36), but in H&M I have to buy everything in XS (34). And they don't order much in size 34 :(

H&M's sizing is so odd it basicly changes from piece to piece. To skinny jeans (for men) are really tight and I had to buy 4!!!! sizes larger than usually I do (even in H&M's sizes). And the knitwear is really odd because the waist is really tiny but the chest is huge! But some pieces fit me pretty well like their blazers and other jackets.

I hope they will do this Prada thing it would be so awesome!

H&Ms sizing from some other planet.

I know its weird! Like some things fit me, but the things I really want dont :( :ninja: H&M is a waste of time for me. Too bad they now occupy the spot where the FAO Shwartz toy store used to be :(

^^ i bought some stella stuff from h & m im a uk size 6 so i throt the extra small would be fine .. it owuldnt stay on the tops literally fell off :(

HOpe prada gets sizing right *fingers crossed*

Argh, there isn't H&M in Rome. But it's not a problem, I don't like Prada.

I dont like Prada shoes or most designer shoes at that cuz they are toooo small! I wear a size 15 US mens and I can NEVER find shoes. Like I can squeeze into some size 13 Marc Jacobs, they dont hurt those are bigger than they say i think...also i know Gucci goes up to a 14 now :D but im not sure if H&M carries shoes...hmmm

Just another reason to keep my hands off my former favourite one (ages ago, though)... How boring and mass convertible... It´s dead...

I wonder what kind of theme would Prada have in their H&M collection?

They would probably have some graphic pattern skirt or dress plus some basics. The thing about is that they can never have the quality you expect from Prada. Everything will look cheap compared to the original. The fabrics can never cope up with the high tech materials or the drilled cottons from Italy. Design is a matter not only of the label or the look, but moreover a combination of those with quality, feel and a 'true' inside imho.

wow. i love muccia prada, but for h & m? wouldn't that make Prada not as special and high-quality. i mean, wearing designer clothes make you feel special and at times, unique. if h & m had stuff from there, then everyone would be buying it.
