Prada 'Paradoxe' Fragrance 2022 : Emma Watson by Harley Weir

Sincerely y'all complaining about Emma Watson skills and telling she's done when she was and will be one of the biggest stars of a entirely generation, more than few of your faves. I'm reading lot of hurtful and so unkind words in this thread. Then you come to talk about mental health, how funny. If you know Prada, you'll know that the woman who represents the brand is super complex and infinite, very paradoxe. It can go from Hunter to Emma to Nicole Kidman to Kendall Jenner to Miuccia herself. Happy to see her again in the fashion corner and making things that really interest her, because that's what life is about, baby.

The look says "yeah girl boss you better fart, because I just did"

When someone is a fan of a celebrity, it's natural to take offense when things are said about someone you like - but when the world is saying the same things (or worse) about a celebrity that's not on the list of faves, the same people will think nothing of it. But in principle, they're the same thing. If someone's not taking up a flaming sword to defend someone like the Kardashians or someone else they don't like, then the person isn't truly bothered by the principle of what people say online and whether it's rude or hurtful. The person is just seeing criticism of a particular celebrity as something personal to them. But that's how people are. We've probably all done it.

Look, everyone knows Emma is a pretty girl but modeling is a skill. I didn't like her Lancome fragrance ads either, she looked too young and the strong makeup on her young face didn't suit the pixie cut she had at the time. However, I think she was the perfect fit for Burberry - posh, British, English Rose. Her ads with Burberry were lovely! I think she's an even worse fit for Prada than she was Lancome. She should have stuck with Burberry.

So…following that, you mean you don’t like that today, designers and other creatives are more and more down for real people, people who are not model, to front their campaigns, their shows. See Pierpaolo in Valentino, for example. You don’t have to be a model to fit a campaign. It’s about embodying it. Your presence, your grace, your attitude, your way of think and see things, how you approach life, art and beauty. Emma has this 60’s british allure, which, for me, fits perfectly Prada. We know how much Miuccia loves 60’s. But that’s not all. Emma is an actress, activist, thinker, artist, fashion muse and Miuccia always seek for women who manifest themselves freely, who don’t try to fit rules and women that stand by what they do. You all are talking about this like is something only relatable to the beauty physically, but there’s more than that. I just recommend you to read the press release about Prada Beauty and Prada Paradoxe. Sure you’re gonna understand why she has been choose

It’s funny you said “when the world is saying the same things (or worse)”… Who is the world? Like 8-10 person in a Fashionspot thread… I mean…
I don’t understand why you quickly point us as “fans” to discredit what we are saying. What I meant to explain is that you don’t have to like something, or agree, but there’s a lot of ways to say something without being rude. Because, if we all fly the flag of “freedom”, really, do it.

Wow, this is unfortunate. Poor Emma. She can look so much better than whatever this is supposed to be!

It is a beauty campaign. The bare minimum should be that the shots be beautiful, attractive, aspirational. "Oh, I want to look as good as her! I will buy these products." Who will want to look like Emma Watson in these ads? Taking a pretty girl and making her look bad is not the way to advertise beauty products.

Unfortunately she looks too young for this haircut and styling.

that eyeliner is terrible and i am so fed up with that triangle already. the design is not sophisticated or clever at all

Beautiful film indeed…
This is the first Prada fragrance under L’Oreal…Already a departure for the fragrance itself in regard to the nose behind it and a departure in terms of communication…

It doesn’t feel Prada. They have managed to infuse a weird touch of charm in their fragrances and campaigns. This fragrance and the bottle don’t feel timeless and charming.

The bottle looks like merch. I can see people buying the fragrance for the logo bottle alone…

They have released recently « Infusion de Vanille » and it’s IMO much more interesting already.

Paradoxe is a great name and Emma a good face for the brand but that’s maybe the only positive things I have to say about this new launch.
