I love Lanvin! When I stop being broke, the first I'm buying is a lanvin dress! Big thumbs up to Elbaz. Valli is quite nice too.

So far Lanvin and YSL look very interesting...

Dior looks decent for once....*shock* Agree with Lena, I always find pre fall pics very toned down and fresh..... I love it more this way acutally....

it looks like the waist is still going to be a big focal point come f/w...
and i'm also noticing lots of pencil skirts and fishtail hems, which i adore...

my favorites are the ysl pieces, but the belt is getting skinnier...
i loved the older, wider belt...

Yay I love these skirts too! And I'm kicking myself for not snapping that belt up There's always a chance though!

I'm liking Moschino & Lanvin as well. Also liking Nina Ricci's look on the right!

so, forgive me for being fashion dumb, but do the pre fall collections hint at whats to come, or are they pretty separate

Oooo! I'm excited for this. I'm no expert so I'm shy to make conclusions, but it looks like last year's volumey silhouettes gave way to slim and tailored ones. I like it it better. It seems like a more flattering season.

yes, because those presentations are 'lookbook' material, its a buyers 'tool' so styling needs to be toned down to a clent/windowshopping co-ordination level
personally i prefer those toned down looks to semi-hysterical catway versions

and even these looks are toned down by the average customer...

so far, i'm bananas about lanvin, absolutely love the setting and the trapeze-y dress, ysl has a great colour scheme, but the pink blouse clashing with the red stripes in the jacket..eh


...adn what can i say..valentino is extremely passe and tacky..i'm not even going to mention dior
