Sports Illustrated is gearing up for its annual Swimsuit Issue in February, and as part of the promotion it asked five swimsuit models -- Anne V, Marisa Miller, Fernanda Motta, Daniella Sarahyba and Brooklyn Decker (seen in the picture to the right) -- to name their choices for the best looking athletes in the world of sports.

Most of their top choices are people the average American sports fan has never heard of (recognize the name Fredrik Ljungberg?), but in No. 5 is good old All-American boy Tom Brady. It must really suck to be Tom Brady. You've only got three Super Bowl rings, tens of millions of dollars and super models thinking you're hot. Yeah, his life is nothing special.

anyway, she is the only one out of the bunch that really interests me. lasts years line up was sooooooooooooo bad. and that brooklyn girl looks like the average girl you see walking down the street with a bad dye job and too much makeup

id love to see them use isabeli again, or fernanda tavares. or any higher fashion models, but thats unlikely

Last time I saw a candid of her. And that was at

"The 50 Greatest Moments at Madison Square Garden" Screening at IFC in New York City on October 27, 2006.

She looked like she was quite pregnant or she really let her self go.

I actually like Marisa and would put her on the cover if it was my choice only because she is a refreshing change from swimsuit models who pay to get their assets

I also want:
Mallory Snyder (doubtful considering she was dropped from Marilyn)
Bridget Hall (she's pretty darn effective for them)
Aline Nakashima (she was on the cover of one of the calendars for them, and her look is amazing)

And I would prefer to see some high fashion girls too but who am I kidding-this issue unabashedly sells to the men. I forget but I think I remember seeing it on either here or FMD that Karolina will be in it along with Gisele and Adriana. I'm a bit more skeptical now but after seeing Gisele's latest swimsuit shoot you never know.

Looks like we have identified one of the beach locations for the 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition--Reserve Naturelle Barine Saint-Barthelemy. As of late last week, both Giselle Bundchen and Adriana Lima were being heavily photographed on that particular St. Barth's beach.

I thought girls with Victoria's Secret contracts weren't allowed to do Sports Illustrated? That's why the VS regualrs that weren't under contract did SI in the past (Isabeli Fontana, Fernanda Tavares, Ana Beatriz Barros, Oluchi Onweagba, Michelle Alves, Marissa Miller, etc.), but then again Tyra Banks did do SI, so I don't really know. Those two (Adriana Lima and Gisele Bundchen) kind of sound like odd choices since they're so mainstream.

It would be expensive to have Adriana and Gisele. It's not like SI can't afford it, but they usually go for the lesser known models.
