i'm over in east bay and am too lazy to drive over to the "new" target near berkeley. if they have the collection i doubt the hippie crowd will buy up the collection.

thanks, kimair! i never would have gotten the silver top cause it looks awful in the stock photo at target.com but it was surprisingly nice in real life! and they're actually forever21 jeans

tylw, tell me about it. i came back within an hour of the "breaking news" after lunch and logged in here, quickly hopped on to target, and as i was adding items to my cart, they were disappearing before my eyes! they really went fast!

anyhow, i just got an e-mail tonight that ALL of the items that i just ordered this afternoon have shipped! wow, that was fast too. now i hope they'll fit well.

well, it seems obvious that the stock was disappearing fast not from individuals purchasing for personal use, but eBay sellers hoarding for resell. i called target to ask about the blue bustier, and they said they did not have any information about it. they did say that the online was separate from the stores, so i guess this is still hope!

they also gave me some jazz about there not being any embedded links (this they claimed is against their policy), that they offer items publically, to all at once. when i gave the URLs of the bustiers tops, the target representative was dumbfounded.

it just seems to me that their inability to release items in an equitable way simply drives eBay arbitrage. i mean, what is stopping a person from buying a lot of stock and selling for 6 times more on eBay? you can't even get that type of profit margin in the stock market!

i wish they were more like other merchants. for example, Topshop posted a time when the Celia Birtwell products were replenished, so everybody had a shot.

how ironic, that Target's motto is "design for all." obviously not.

anyways, i'm not trying to dampen the mood, just expressing my frustration--i'm very glad that people on this blog got the bustier!

its targets fault that these items are available for us to buy because of their "users who bought this item also bought x" feature.
because so many folks bought items through shoplocal and amazon pretty much everything is available at once.
