more on the show, from yahoo

Only three of the four aspiring designers will be seen when the fashion reality show's finale airs March 8, but supermodel-host Heidi Klum didn't want the media to spoil things for viewers. One of the four — Chloe Dao, Daniel Vosovic, Santino Rice and Kara Janx — will be booted.

"You have to play tricks for the TV," Klum said with a smile after the showings Friday, the final day of Fashion Week.

Dao's collection featured several gowns heavy on puffed sleeves and sleek silhouettes with open backs. Golds and browns were strong, with a sharp pant outfit in brown that was shown with a lace bodice and puffed-laceover. Dao, 33, from Houston, said the collection was "her baby."

Vosovic, 24, from New York, was considered the favorite. His collection centered on earth tones using brown floral lace prints. His white swing coat with brass buttons looked sharp and ready to hit the stores.

"I'm really proud of the collection," Vosovic said backstage. "It took a very long time to get it done and I hope I made a lasting impression with it."

Janx, 29, from Johannesburg, South Africa, showed off gowns and shirts in multicolored cascading layers and blazers over T-shirts with cropped pants that looked sort of like huge gray diapers. Her models sported embroidered hats and gloves, giving the collection a hipster feel.
"This collection rocks," she said.

Rice, 30, from Los Angeles, is the designer everyone loves to hate. Or hates to love. His collection was noticeably muted in comparison with his work on other episodes, often criticized as being too loud. Rice used lots of rose and lace, but threw in a brown leather corset with capelike sleeves.

"Maybe he listened to what we'd been telling him," Klum said.

Judge Nina Garcia, fashion director at Elle magazine, said she was impressed with the collections.

"The fashion world is a tough place," she said. "They'll face even harder challenges than what they face on this show, so the designers really have to be prepared."

I'm kind of dissapointed in all four collections. They all seem kind of weak.

wow the back of the dress that Chloe did is amazing!:woot: She's awesome:heart:

whoever posted the pictures really gets my thanz but unfortunately u shoed them to quick....i wanted to see the episodes as they came budyy...i have to say i wont root for santino ever but hope clhloe wins cuz that dress looks fantastic..grace looks good too.. i hope the final 3 are chloe daniel and kara... i was hopin to wait to c the end of the show but i guess we couldnt wait..not that i feel ths season was good like the first one but i guess i wanted to c complete collections form all.....good luck chloe and daniel:)

i loved santino the whole season, even though countless times he disappointed me. and chloe was good, but i thought daniel was better. looking at the runway pics, i actually prefer chloes. i think its elegant with style. i think she has a good chance of winning. which means i should probably visit her boutique for anything i might want before prices sky rocket!

I just got through looking at the collections and I must say that Daniel's collection was not that great. I liked Chloe's, Santino's and Kara's. I thought that the hats used in kara's collection were adorable, I totally have to have one...But I can't wait till that episode actually airs.

By the way........Nick's former model, Tarah, the one snatched by Zulema......is that her in the new Maybelline TV ads behind Adriana Lima? I'm positive it's her. She kinda, slightly upstaged Lima.

I was going to ask, how did you get into the show, fullfrontal? Is it like the same people that get invited to the normal fashion shows?

I hustled my way in. :innocent: It wasn't the usual suspects who get invited to normal fashion shows; certainly not the upper echelon of fashion invitees (I doubt if they didn't invited Vogue, for example). Alot of Bravo people, sponsor related people, other entertainment/industry professionals, plenty of friends of friends, a few faces (Traver and Richie of Heatherette, Carson from Queer Eye) and then judges and Heidi sat front row. Chloe had a lot of people there for her though.

^^^That's the piece that I thought was very Santino and it was nice.

Also, at the show when Heidi did the introduction, she did say "you will see collections from three designers" which I assumed was because only three will air on Wednesday.

NEW YORK - The four finalists on Bravo's "Project Runway" staged presentations on the same catwalk used by Betsey Johnson and Luca Orlandi of Luca Luca during New York Fashion Week.

Only three of the four aspiring designers will be seen when the fashion reality show's finale airs March 8, but supermodel-host Heidi Klum didn't want the media to spoil things for viewers. One of the four _ Chloe Dao, Daniel Vosovic, Santino Rice and Kara Janx _ will be booted.

The winner of "Project Runway" will receive $100,000 in seed money to help launch his or her own fashion line and a mentorship from the Banana Republic design team, according to the show's Web site.

After looking at the pics again, I'm really surprised Chloe played with volume. It's cute but unexpected.

The more I see Daniel's stuff, the more I think Ann Taylor.

i wonder how long daniel spends on his hair each day. do you think he blow dries it, so it stays up and piecy like that?

he looks so different with his hair flat.
