Project Runway Season 2

Good thing Santino didn't win. Could you picture his face on the outside of a Barbie doll box?

Might scare the sales away from Mattel's My Scene Barbie line... I know... that's harsh. Seriously though, I don't want to not like Santino but he's making it very hard to be likeable. His expression was priceless when he was only told he was "in"! And yes, the fashion industry is cut throat but you've got to find a balance too or you'll alienate customers and buyers.

Someone at the Project Runway forum said Santino may be a one trick pony with the ruching. I'm tending to agree up to this point...

And what's with the barely there footage of the other people? Diana and Emmett?! I'm partial to Diana. Her red "holey" top with hood rocked. Even Tim Gunn agreed.

I totally agree with you designme. Santino does make it hard for you to like him because of his attitude but he is really talented. I think that in the end his attitude may keep him from winning because in the last season at the end they talked about how the designers were easy to work with and how the were around people. And I would definitely not want to work with Santino if I was a customer.

I think that Santino didn't win though because his outfit looked like something "barbie already had", I mean I didn't think that his design was very original, but that is just my opinion. It very much reminded me of something Paris Hilton would wear.

What's the woman's name that was having trouble sewing last night? Anyway, I thought she should've been booted! She has to have someone hold her hand through everything!!

I was looking at Santino's again and it definitely looks way sexy on a model, but with that kind of extended torso cut, and since the fringed skirt portion starts at the upper thigh, it's very limited in terms of who can wear it. You gotta have super skinny hips and zero fat. Otherwise, it'll make you look disgusting.

Very tricky haha

^very true. i watched that episode, but i dont remember..was the barbie outfit supposed to be tangible to regular people, or just the barbie? im not sure...

I actually like Danielle's the best, not Daniell V., the other one. But it isn't "Barbie" enough, though I would wear it.:D

It looks strikingly similar to chloe's last design though as far as lines and solid colors go.

Yikes, the more I look at the Chloe "Clothes off your back" garment, the more I hate it.:yuk:

It's way too simple.

two of my fave dresses on this show by far.

Chloe has her own store here in houston, that sells her line naturally. Its not very impressive, basically from what I've seen knockoffs. I wasn't really impressed by her dress, it looked very 90s minimalism.
Diana is really interesting, but I thought that whole magnet thing was too much and needed to be simplified.

^ I think I remember Daniel saying on the first season that Michael Kors was his favorite designer. Or maybe it was when he was making that butcher paper dress last season, he made some comment about how Michael should like it because it was tailored like his stuff.
