Raf Simons Mens F/W 06.07 Paris

Very nice collection...thanx beetle for the nice pix!!

And pleasae be there for the Dior Homme collection!!
:p Can't wait!!

Really loving this collection. So far this is probably my second favorite with Burberry being number one. I can't wait to see what Dior has to offer.

If i was this thin I would have this collection in my closet :) I love the jackets and the way they fold over...interesting the way they would cut that...

It's excellent, I really like it. Agree with Tricot - solid, mature, very very assured. It reflects what I walays like about Raf - the purity and clarity of his vision. (Cf comme menswear for last few seasons for example).

Fantastic show...it's so forward, yet wearable and stylishly good looking...Love the knitwear and outerwear...I'm in  with the loop-thru black coat:woot:

Anyone knows if RAF actually has a flagship store here in Paris or where purchase his designs (not counting Luisaviaroma firenze)????^_^

I also agree, it's very good. I really like it a lot, and I think that's the first time I can say that about Raf. Great knits, and the "double" zippered jackets are AMAZING. Top of my shopping list for next winter!!

mmm...
seems like jil is having more influence on raf than raf is having at jil...
this is HEAVILY influenced...:ermm:

but i think he was clever to make his own collection a bit edgier and sharper than the one he did for jil sander...

don't know how happy bertelli will be about it though...
since i think this will easily outsell the jil sander line...
^_^...

Good point!

I do think they overlap, but not that much...

i love how he focused on the tops this time round... the double jackets/coats are very interesting...but i remember doing something very similar after geting inspired by NOTHING NOTHING... I still i have to take my hat off to him... definitely one of the best collections this season and like raf has always been..Truly original..!

Fashionspot is a bit f*cked for me, in that I have to login in to view each attachment because I seem to get logged out and its not working  :innocent: . And as mmuch as I love Raf, I dont intend to log in and out 99 times to order to see all the images  , so where can I view and contemplate this new collectionizi? thanks:woot:

I think this is strongest Raf collection I have yet to see!

The entire thing is kind of going back to his Sci-Fi/Stanely Kubrick,"Clockwork Orange" looks of the early years. A bit more drama though with those double collars(very Preen/Balenciaga for men!)...

Loving all the knits, shirting and tailoring(as usual)..

Who do you think it's influenced by? Like Scott said, this is definitely much more going back to his roots, to his collections before he "retired" in SS01 rather than being influenced (unless, of course he is going back to whatever influenced him when he started designing - a little Jil and Helmut, maybe?) -- sharp tailoring, and a beautiful mix of mature and young.

I see a significant portion of faust's income going into this :heart::D

sorry...
i thought it was obvious...
he has just spent months scouring and memorizing the jil sander archives...
if this is what early raf looked like...
then early raf looked a LOT like early jil...

maybe that's what got him the job in the first place?...
