Rei Kawakubo / Comme des Garcons for H&M Designer Collection

Checked out the h and m website and noticed that a all of the bias cut men's pieces are only available at the London Regents Street Store in the UK so you can't get the full collection in other stores. Poor show h and m !!!! Still some good pieces but not really making comme more accessible outside capital cities to a wider audience, which should be the aim of these collaborations.

Still will check out at the Manchester store but thought might be worth warning people to check out the store locator for individuall pieces to make sure that if you have your heart set on something the store you are intending to go to will be stocking it !!!!

Sorry stand corrected the pieces are available at the other London locations. Still really unfair on other stores outside the capital !!!

true but it's probably Londoners that are more likely to be interested in this collection than the rest of the country as London is meant to be the fashion centre of England

I kind of like the dotted shirt in navy or black, but... I don't know...wouldn't loose any sleep over it, I guess.

Most peculiar. I found a cardigan and a sweater on H&M.... ...inspired by this collection, it was split-in-the-middle black and white/grey. What is up with that??

H&M always copy their own stuff, it's really funny! They copy their Trend pieces in the mainline collection but with more affordable prices.

The H&M close to me will be selling the line and I'll be there.

Are there really some stores who'll be selling at starting at midnight, rather than at regular opening time?

How quickly do these lines sell out? I'm not going to be in one of the cities, but I'm asking my friend to go for both of us.

Where I'm from, they pretty much go within the first half hour or so!

There's a preview for people at 9pm the night before where they'll get a chance to buy some things but that's only if you have a ticket :/

so what cities are they going to be sold in?

any one in L.A. I too love the polk-dot button up shirt in the redish color

She's the same model, I-D had on their cover some years back, showing clothes from the f/w collection of Comme Des Garcons (the witches collection). It was such a nice cover with the black clothes and brigth red lipstick and dark red background. The red lips were painted a bit next to the mouth not on the real mouth.

It was such a beautiful cover and i guess the reason, why they have chosen her for the campaign.

yeah it's missy rayder...younger sis of frankie. she's the better model, imo.

i read somewhere that H&M is imposing a two-item per garment limit for every shopper...

i dont think that's going to stop the ebay vultures.

the CDG line will be sold in two days at tokyo H&M's new harajuku store (they already have one in ginza)

according to businessweek...

"Two days before the opening, people were already starting to camp outside the second H&M store in Tokyo's Harajuku neighborhood, an area popular with the younger set.
The latest -- 30 women's items and 20 men's items by Kawakubo's Comme des Garcons, mostly in her signature black but some in polka dot -- were timed with the Harajuku opening, but they will also be sold at 200 H&M shops around the world.
H&M refused to say how many of each item will be available, but it's expecting a sellout.
Jorgen Andersson, who oversees brand and new businesses, said H&M tries to bring together exclusivity and mass-market products.
"H&M is making it possible for designers to reach out to normal people on the street, the man or the woman who can't or won't spend a fortune on clothes," he said. "We have a democratic approach to fashion."

hahaha...its just so funny and ironic to me as in a way its the same if it were marc jacobs doing this for target or GAP. i mean in japan they treat the indies and the more experimental like we westerners treat the more commercial. but i can't for the life of me understand why anybody there would actually camp for this as i see so many of the japanese wearing the genuine, signature works. WHY?? if i had the real thing at my disposal and the money to boast,i certainly wouldn't blow it on this. they can be such label wh*res,in a twisted sort of way
