i also have one: even though someone said that you can't get into a show even if someone else gave you their ticket bc if your name doesn't match the ticket you won't be let in--does this apply when your editor in chief gives you (senior fashion editor) her ticket?

and is your "title" written on your credentials/pass?

based from my experience at Paris FW, its very normal to attent a show with someone else's invite and people dont usually check ID's
i fthey stop you, you can always say that the person invited had to attent something else and you are just assisting for reviewing the show

as for RSVP its certainly not neccessary, nobody really does this, except if you are contacted by the PR people by phone
no worries if your chair stays empty, the PR people are too busy to check in who was and who wasnt there.. anyway, someone (probably a production assistant) will make sure to fill it up by placing standing-only people, just before the show starts

i have SO many invites to all the smaller shows...

**wondering about rsvp-ing...
is it a good idea to rsvp to everything...even if you know you are not going to attend...
just so you have the option...

i guess that some PR people might get annoyed if you rsvp but then don't come...

thoughts?...

I rsvp for everything...Your plans can change quick (one show runs really late, and you won't make the next one), so I'd suggest doing that

no- you don't even need that pass...
they just ask for the name and you give it and if it's on the list..
you go right in...

how long do you wait before calling to check?...


if you still haven't gotten a seat assignment...how long before the show do you start to get concerned?...



how many shows a day is it reasonable to be expected to attend...?

Even getting an invite doesn't guarantee you a seat. A few shows last season a ton of people who were guests had to stand and some didn't even make it in. Depends on the show. I would suggest picking a few to see. Don't even try for all of them because they overlap and you need to line up early. Most people I know only go to 2 or so a day.
