omg,it's even better than the last two seasons which were utterly superb! he's outdone himself here,in my eyes. every single element i am just floored by. he's such a master, rick owens.
and i completely inaya. i see NO ONE in this except RICK OWENS! i hate to seem condescending but it's so tired these outlandish comparisons. especially when those designers happen to be 'it' designers.
WOW ! this is so exciting and fresh. love the color-pallete
the makeup, however, makes the models look like they're coming out of graves.. but i guess it goes well with the mood of the collection lol
I love the "dogleg" shape zippers and closures on so many of the jackets. And the color choices are genius.
Those first three jackets/coats with the geometric detailing are TDF.
And I'm really loving the icy color palette, it's very soothing for some reason.
I'm actually liking this a lot more than I have his last few runway presentations. It seems more broken down to the essence of things, whereas the last few collections I've kind of been put off by the conceptual styling. This is just about the clothes and the look, no strangeness added.
I love the new colors and I am always a huge fan of Rick Owens but he seems to fall a bit short this season. You can see elements from previous seasons but it doesn't seem like he's brought anything new to the collection. Regardless I am always a fan and I love his work, just feel as though previous seasons were better.
Should have guessed. This was great until I saw the close-ups/details.
Then it went to AMAZING! Jesus, the textures!
Thanks for all the details Mullet
Grouped together that way in the dark, the models are like a swarm of moths or something...I like it.
today the sky what that very shade of bably-blue-grey!!
and those black boots! the boots are just amazing season after season!!
Wow, that last group shot is wonderful. I love the icy blue color mixed in with the black, was not expecting that for fall, at least not from Owens. And the feathered headpieces are really lovely.
the thing that annoys me about this collection, and actually the last few rick owens collections, is the distracting accessories.. the headpieces, the shoes.. i can barely focus on the pieces because the whole look together with these crazy pieces is too over the top. it changes the whole mood. there's too much going on for me, especially because each piece in the look is the same shade, one thing blends into another and then i look down and see those horrendous shoes and i lose complete concentration.
...i know if i could pull apart each outfit i would probably love each inividual piece, but i wish the styling aided in that instead of forcing you to imagine how everything would look if pulled apart. the detail shots are nicer.. they allow me to focus on the jackets, tops, etc without seeing those silly flared things on the legs for example.. that just ruins it for me
i don't think this is my favourite RO collection but there is no denying there are a lot of beautiful pieces, and i love the icyness of the colours too.
Can you say gorgeous much? I'm in love with everything especially the whole white pale looks.
YES!!! Now this is what a fall 2009/10 collection should be. None of that 80's crap. The shapes are incredible, and unlike a lot of collections this season, the concept is cohesive . The icy color is perfect for the winter. The head pieces/hats are the best! This is all Owens, so I don't get why there are balenciaga comparisons.
I'm actually tired of his boots design but the rest is very good. I must confess that I prefer the looks in black.
I wasn't so sure before seeing the details but after seeing them I finally had an opinion about this collection, it's very impressive, specially the way he works with zippers etc. The atmosphere is also quite interesting.
luv it....one colour collection and still manage to make it look interesting! total coolness.
i liked the deadly nuns collection better, but the structure on some of those jackets...
