Roberto Cavalli for H&M

All of h&m prices are so expensive lately. Even their regular prices.
Their boots for the regular line are now up to $129, plain dresses are up to $69-$99, cheap rainjackets are $70. ??. I guess it's recent popularity, low value of the u.s. dollar, inflation, and as for cavalli, they made too few, maybe it would have been closer to V&R prices if they had made more. Stella trench was $129, same for V&R, and the RC one is $199. But then again, the VR trench was very poor quality.

Madonna sequin dress was what, $300? so the $250 for the beaded gown seems ok. Curious why the pleated dress is $350 though.

If the jeans are nice, $70 is a good price. It's the long dress at $200 that surprises me.

Yeah I guess you're right, but i feel that everything in this cavalli collection is too expencive for "normail" ppl, at least the dresses, and they are kinda the whole who makes it cavalli IMO

i agree that the viktor and rolf items had more artistic integrity. there is really nothing new in the roberto cavalli collection.

and i also agree that prices have steadily risen at H&M even for their normal non designer stuff. i guess we have the falling dollar to blame for that.

So true, other than the prints, this is the most boring collection to date. I didn't need any of the Karl pieces, but at least the other 2 were true to designer form. Many of these are so plain, almost silly for a designer in a way, although I do find many of them very attractive because I haven't owned an animal print piece in a long time. I do however love love love the jewelry.

But then again, i only got 2 pieces from V&R. The red skirt and the awesome beautiful long silk scarf. Both beautiful and original.

True. Expensive for most of us. I don't have $200 / 300 for a dress from H&M.

I like some of the jewelry but none of the clothes interest me. The prices are ridiculous, I understand it's 'Robert Cavalli', but in the end it's still H&M. I doubt the quality is any better than regular H&M stuff.

Haha, oh I expected like some secret site. Because I can't find it on the website I don't understand why not.
Everyone talks about it like they can see all the pieces and prices, but when I visit the site, I only see a sort of movie/commercial, but without text or anything. Well, I'll just wait till it comes online for sale.
Maybe I'll be able to see it than I must be doing something wrong on the website, but I don't know what

Does anyone know why the collection is only going to be in the NYC stores along the East Coast?

I'm assuming b/cos its the fashion capital here in the US/best bet on the East coast and the collection is more likely to do better there considering the population

I....was waiting yesterday till 00:00 because I totally made the same mistake some friends made
It will be on tonight. It's Thursday now. We thought it would be Wednesday night, going on Thursday. Just before 00:00 I read ''Thursday 23:59'' and then I understood..

Well I went to my local H&M...There was about 20 ppl in line. Everyone rushed in and most of the people crabbed the animal print dresses first. Orignally my plan was get one animal print dress to sell on ebay but they were gone in about 10 seconds.
The style of the people who crabbed the animal print dresses was so hoochie anyway, that in away Im glad I didnt get any. Like I said, it would have gone to ebay...

So I ended up with the black long knit cardigan with some silky material on the chest and you can tie it on your waist. That was what I originally wanted, so Im glad.

My boyfriend who is rather skinny and small made better finds in men's side (surprisingly). He got the black buttonupshirt with hidden buttons + golden buttons on the bottom, black long sleeve silk tee with gold buttons, and the white buttonup silk shirt and black belt.

Our store did not have the white and black blazer which I was also trying to hunt down. Neither did they have the gold dress or any shoes. I guess most of the stuff went to the capital city Helsinki...

Also the sales lady said that they will not restock at all this year! So if this is the situation everywhere, better go there early!!!!


ps. Last night I was watching this horrbile movie called "Chasing Papi" about some guy who has three hispanic girlfriends. Well in this one part where the blond hispanic girl is having a dream about a dancing scene, her dress is exactly like the gold flapper type sequin dress!
