Roberto Cavalli Mens F/W 11.12 Milan | the Fashion Spot

Roberto Cavalli Mens F/W 11.12 Milan

Not full of prints? I'm undecided. This is not what I really expected from Cavalli.

This collection put me to sleep. Sad, because the nappy-bearded hot mess who opened the show had my full attention.

not very Cavalli at all, but not exactly in a good way. I love the tailoring but they're hardly anything special. The only thing I remembered abt the show is one gorgeous white coat and Tony Ward! Hmm

different from others cavalli collections, more classy. like the materials used, but i hate the thing around neck

It's a change from the usual rock-grungy collection he has done for couple season now
Still preferring the Balmain inspired shows

last season was much more " Groovy Mood " than this one.
but I do love some suede blazers and the pants, Cavalli men always get great pants.

whoa whoa whoa

he conjured up the 70s in full force and i'm not 100% sure yet if i love it

gotta say tho, this look

might be a bit too gray, but i love the cut of EVERYTHING, down to the shoes.

the silhouettes are very familiar, but sexy, even tho some pants are a bit too tight (it looks tight on the model already, geez), but overall fit wise, i love this...

some houses -- like dsquared2 -- called the seventies trend before it made its formal debut in womenswear, and other -- like ferragamo and cavalli -- have jumped on the bandwagon afterward. regardless, i really am not equipped to disparage it as a reference point as it stands as one of my favorite decades for menswear what with those intensely sexual silhouettes and decadent flourishes. this cavalli collection hit that decade dead on to the point where some stuff looked like it sprang from my father's wardrobe or one of his old issues of gq.

i'm curious if this means we'll get one of those great over-the-top collections for womenswear to correspond.

I really like it.

Tempted to buy that long, geometric print scarf 'for my partner' and then 'borrow it' (until further notice). :D

Also, I really like men in swathes of wool, like that.

Much nicer than tailoring.

I like this. Giving off a 70's dandy feel and some nicely cut suits.....barring the double breasted ones. Very paired-down but still vibrant enough to warrant the Cavalli name.
