I laughed so hard, she almost tackled the other girl, but I'm glad she didn't fall and walked back like a pro. That other girl, idk how she managed to keep such a strong face.

Yeah cause girls falling down is SO funny  especially when it can harm their career. HI-LA-RI-OUS.

:ninja:

Sorry but she was not even wearing any dangerous shoes, shows how much of a bad runway model you are if you fall or trip like that. or maybe i'm just being biased because i like models like Natasha.

Are you being serious?

First of all, Natasha has nothing to do with this
And second, people fall whether they wear heels or not. It happens. In this case she wore a tight skirt which made it hard to make big steps.

I'd rather have Natasha fall then one of these new girls.

^ I didn't say that it had something to do with Natasha. but since you're bringing it up, why would you rather have her fall than a newbie? it's more embarrassing for a high profile model to fall than a new girl.

and also, a tight skirt is still not a good excuse to trip or fall, if there is a problem with the dress then what are the rehearsals for? I'm pretty sure they test everything before. I didn't look at the whole collection but if there was a problem with the outfits more models would have problems too walking in them.

^ omg i can't

I'd rather have Natasha fall because she's an established model, because it's less embarrassing for her, obviously, because she already knows the designers/stylists/people frontrow etc. And should she break something, it's not as bad for her to miss a season than it is for a new girl. New girls can't afford to miss a season because it gets them in contact with a lot of industry people, people that Natasha already knows.

Not even gonna comment on the second part, for obvious reasons.

LOL! I don't understand how being experienced in your career and doing it wrong is less embarrassing than being new at it and doing it wrong, but oh well.

If you're really worried about Yasmin's career than you shouldn't be, She didn't break her leg anwyay, if she is still in demand i'm sure they will continue on hiring her.

That's nonsence. I'm a sprinter, once i somehow overrun and tripped. Does that mean i'm a bad sprinter? No, just that my sprint was going bad.
Besides many reasons can make a model trip: shoes, slippery runway, dress or maybe she just lost her balance.

Yasmin has, especially compared to newbies, a very decent walk.
Yes she is no Natasha, but if we're going to talk about ain't no Natasha I would change that name in Raquel. Raquel is the queen.

LOL, guys have you ever almost fall when you're walking?? Models are also human, they also can trip, that do not make them good or bad models, c'mon...

I think the point Scotty was making is that while we all walk, models walk for a living. that's their job. that's not like you and me walking down the street and tripping on a crack. It's the same as if Adele hits a wrong note during a performance. Yeah we sing off key in the shower, but the difference between us and Adele is that that is Adele's job to not sing off key. So no, I'm not giving these girls a break either. They have a few seconds to walk perfectly on a runway as part of their jobs. They are free to trip like the rest of us when they're off duty.

That was one hell of a trip... wonder if there was an edge to the runway or something... her recovery was comic but I'm really glad she didn't hit the ground... kudos for getting up and continuing on (I hope she was able to giggle about it backstage) and kudos to the girl heading the other direction for not breaking stride or changing expression...

All the harshness in this thread - and especially regarding this particular incident - is :( - sh*t happens, people trip... I danced competitively for 10 years, practice, practice, practice and there were times I'd bobble something I'd been doing perfectly for years... nobody is perfect - not even at their JOBS (since that seems to be the sticking point) ... hell I sent an email to the wrong contact just today at *gasp* my job. Lighten up.

It's a model's job to sell the clothes that she's wearing and to embody the woman that the designer imagined when they created the collection. I won't take pity on a model that can't walk in shoes because she hasn't had enough practise, but it is certainly not her fault if the runway is slippery and she trips. It's not the end of the world if she trips, everyone makes mistakes.

Sooo many top models have tripped, it's fine, people will forget about it.

Forgive them for being humans and trip. So you never make a mistake at your job? Everyone makes mistakes, even Messi has sometimes a bad day. I'm a sprinter and tripped once, really hard. But hey one trip doesn't mean i'm a bad sprinter or one trip from a model doesn't mean that she is a bad runwaymodel. If she has a terrible walk or trip all the time then yeah.

She didn't make a big deal out of it and stayed professional, this is the most important thing.
Some designers can be reluctant to hire a girl after a little fall...

One of Gigi's breasts was exposed at Versace. I saw the same happen with Greta so I just assumed it was "fashion" but I just saw a video from the finale where Gigi's dress was back to normal and her entire chest was covered again..

So I'm not sure what happened.

It was a simple nip-slip because of cut of the dress, like it happened in thousands of shows before.

That's not realistic or logical at all. Adele does have a duty as a singer, but depending on circumstance, she can easily go off-key. She did at the Grammys because of a technical fault. ANY model can fall depending on what shoes they get or the runway - that would be the technical fault for them. Nothing to do with skill, but circumstance. There are some notes Adele can't sing, and some shoes or runways models just can't walk on.

In scenario, you can't put a girl in 10" platforms, a long dress and send her on a slippy surface and say "don't fall, it's your job". It's like putting Adele in a freezing cold arena, making her drink milk and playing her music out of sync. It just wouldn't work.

A model fell down at Dennis Basso @ 3:12

And still during NYFW, a model lost one of her shoes and seriously stumbled at Oscar de la Renta (cut in the official videos, but available here) :
