Suvi and Ginta IMO are not that fierce to be in a Versace's campaign.
Last season's casting was so much better.

Isn't it pretty understandable that newfaces like Hailey cannot cope with extremely experiencted girls like Karmen/Joan who both are very strong in print & besides been modelling for 5yrs, at least?

Talking of the newfaces this season, she's the girl that i would have considered for Gucci as well. Julia Saner wouldn't be bad either, but she didn't look that cool in the show, to be honest.

I don't think having a contract with Gucci means you're in their campaigns all the time. Snejana has a contract with them too.

^Sorry I don't really follow Snejana's career, but as far as I know she hasn't done any significant work for Gucci the last couple of seasons. So what is the nature of her contract?

I dunno, Joan, who was newish, held her own with Raquel in the pre-Fall campaign - actually I think she went beyond holding her own, so who knows.

I hope that if this campaign does well and Joan does well in it, she gets a Gucci contract. Does anyone know if her pre-fall ads with Raquel and Joan ran in magazines, I know they definitely ran online but I am not sure about magazines - when I saw a Gucci ad in a magazine, it was a Fall one?

I'm definitely excited for Versace. Especially Suvi considering how I'm always pleased with her editorial work . I hope she doesn't let me down. Gucci, on the other hand, doesn't really excite me. Not my "cup of tea" regarding the model choices.

^You're so right. I'll probably get shot for this on here, but she reads a little white 'trailer' to me. There's a weird premature sophistication going on in Daphne. But who am I? I never imagined Lindsey W fronting a Versace perfume ad either.

Yep that is why I called her newish, I would not say that I have been following her but she has been on my radar screen - I remember Joan's showcards from her Elite days and also her Ralph Lauren campaign (not the mainline) with a thousand other models. I called her newish because she snagged Gucci after her first big international season and the experience gap between Hailey and Joan / Karmen is nowhere near as big as the experience gap between Joan and Raquel.

As I said, I don't know Hailey, so I am not going to go to bat for her, but Joan and Raquel are proof that the more experienced model won't automatically pwn the new girl. Come to think of it that was kinda cool how Gucci kept that under wraps, I know that pre-fall campaigns don't get a lot of attention, but still. Hmm, now I wonder what the response would have been if that pairing was announced in advance?

According to Lorenzo Martone's twitter, he is working on the casting for "Seven for all Mankind" campaign, I guess we might see some girls from his PR agency as an option, I would guess Alessandra Ambrosio . . .
