^^ Yes! that’s the guy! thanks!
The shoulders are sooo 1980s.The shoulders are too damn big.
Otherwise it's super chic.
The lack of bags is quite impressive. That's a bold statement in 2023. Need to see the clothes in motion to have a final verdict, but the images look very sensual and sophisticated. I'm a fan of what he does for the maison.
I believe the only time Vaccarello shows bags on the runway is when it's a new model or reissue, otherwise, the models are aux mains libres. I don't think Pilati or Ford have shown bags at shows, either. Hedi, our beloved merchandiser, has however.Yes quite a statement, but its has been several shows already without bags. Correct me if I am wrong but I think they were those enveloppe pochettes stuck into belts.
I know how Vaccarello hates to do the bags in the studio and am glad the CEO let him show without them, but somehow, they still manage to sell billions in leather goods a year. That's a lesson for the industry.
I am happy he grew out of his tacky miniskirts era and out of Hedi's shadow.

I have to say that after rewatching the show, I feel like this is a kind of bourgeois minimalism. It’s not artsy, intellectual or conceptual but it’s minimalism: simple clothes in good fabrics, perfect cut and timeless palette. It’s almost a pity that he didn’t found a way to do a strong shoulder that won’t date the show.
Tom did. The only time he didn’t was in his second show but it was very random most of time (2-3 looks). Carine is not a big fan of bags on the runway…
looks like he getting ready for couture

I stand corrected.Pilati definitely did and I can't imagine that Ford didn't.
"Yves Shoulder Pads"...too dated! Looks like a parody of 80s YSL, instead of a tribute to it.
