Saint Laurent F/W 2025.26 : Kate Moss, Chloë Sevigny & Frankie Rayder by Mert Alas

It's like asking AI to generate a fashion campaign with 'cool' people and places, with no further specification as to how any of it might be related.

So there's no chemistry and only the outward, superficial signifiers of whatever's being sold. Perfect for social media but completely shallow, and not in a compelling way.

Eh. It’s nice enough.

It’s the ultimate designer-wannabe Anthony working with the ultimate fashion photographer-wannabe Mert, so the result is the ultimate wannabe campaign that pays tribute/honors/copies/rip offs greater fashion imagery we’ve all seen a million times before. What did anyone expect from these two?

Kate is losing it. At this point I am not sure if the ridiculous pouting in every photo is a deliberate choice or a result of plastic surgery. Her body looks relaxed but her face couldn't be more tense. The bedroom photo is some face tune level retouching. She didn't look like this even when she was 20.

^^^ Kate’s lost it a long time ago.

The more I look at it, the more I sort of love the campaign for its unintentionally unintended irony: The Jennifer Coolidge pout on both women is hilariously awkward and veering towards drag camp caricature. And given Kate’s past with addiction, did no one look at the shot of them in the pool and think that maybe the imagery looks just a tad inappropriately like Chloe is rescuing Kate from an OD drowning…???? ...LOOOL… Eh.

I love the video and all of the photographs that I have seen thus far. I will never get tired of seeing Kate's beauty. She has aged but everyone is aging and changing. Hopefully, there will be print ads too.

I don't mind it. Kate looks great, and still delivers. Chloe Sevigny brings nothing, and I will never understand her dry, charmless appeal to fashion people. She's not even pretty.

Kate has probably be the face of Saint Laurent under all it creative directors (except maybe Hedi) but Anthony’s vision is probably her most boring, predictable and almost annoying.
Chloe has no business being there. She needs to either join NG or Dossena.

Frankie is the star here even if she doesn’t have the best composed shots!

This is prefall btw.

yes, there are 3 other "fall" campaigns in the making as far I as know: a celebrity one, a very archival one with models and another one commissioned to a painter (like the Francisco Clemente one, with also an exhibition at YSL Rive Droite), I think they are trying to cover many niche appeals at the same time.
If only Anthony worked more on the collections and a little bit less on the campaigns...

There are just way too many campaigns happening at once, and it gets super confusing. To make things even messier, they’re calling their Resort campaigns ‘Fall’ or ‘Spring’ so everything starts to feel all over the place. It’s like when magazines release five different covers to please everyone and it ends up losing its impact and makes it seem like there’s no real confidence or clear direction behind the decisions.
