oh i'm so interested in this too! there was an article in some finnish magazine of reykjavik's style and it was so interesting. i can scan it tomorrow here!
and i absolutely want to hear about it and see more of it!
^^ and also I've never found it very appealing if men use too much white in their clothing... He would look so much better if that jacket wouldn't be so... white.
But that's just my opinion, I guess there's plenty of women who love that kind of men's style.
yeah white on men seems so sporty and sleazy..but in general this guy just represents the style that i would like to kill on the scandinavian streets..
everyone looks the same.....
Ok here it is. There aren't so much pictures and the text is only for the ones who speak finnish. But I can try to translate some main points.
It's been said that people in Iceland have so original fashion style because they get their influences from both States and Europe. It's important for Icelandic to express themselves by their clothing.
Many Icelandics want to me artists and they want to design their own clothes etc. And in that kind of little country it is imporant to jump out and look different because no-one really wants to look like their neighbours.
In the third picture there are some addresses with cursive text. So if you're going to Iceland you should probably check out those places.
And the article says that european design is quite cheap in Iceland because they're not used to with big names there yet.
Hmm. I hope this can help to this thread to get more alive
