if you ever come to tampere, finland there is a thrift store called yesterday near by the metso library. that place is full of treasures (literally full) but you have to search really hard. the lady who is the shopkeeper is a little crazy but she can help you find something you are looking for...

well maybe its cause thats all we have pretty much here... you have to dig deeper for small labels and search thrift stores like crazy in order to find something unique..

It's not only that they don't find stores, it's also that thay don't have any originality... You can pull off anything if you just have some creativity. I think

well yeah.. i can buy something from h&m but i mix and match it with some other clothes and people dont even believe it is from h&m... but for more original clothes you have to really search cause you dont want 1000 copies of you walking on the streets :D

thanks for the hint :flower: the only store that i have been using is UFF so newcomers are more than welcome.

since vaasa mainly has h&m, veromoda, only and jc it's really hard to find unique clothes. i shop at h&m quite often but then i try to mix and match my other clothes. but i just hate the fact that if i find something really nice, next day i see two or three girls wearing the same damn thing

I think this thrift store/trying to be original has kinda turned upside down now... It is really mainstream and something that almost everyone is doing. But I guess that's a good thing, I rather see kids wearing thrift store finds and stuff like that than wearing pink hoodies and Mic Mac jeans and those big ugly skate shoes with ridiculous laces. I'm referring to Finland now, it's where I also live so I think many of you know what I'm talking about... ;)

And adi, let's make a roadtrip to Tampere when we have time and money! I can drive, you read the map!

"I designed and made this dress for Iisa, singer in Regina. Iisa gave me the inspiration for the dress. My favorite designer is John Galliano.
I've lived in Finland for three years now. Before my style was more shining and complicated. Now I like to wear more comfortable clothes."

"Tonight my look is Pretty Woman á la Julia Roberts. I'm wearing Rinne Niinikoski dress, Dolce & Gabbana underwear, necklaces by Dior and Pour.
I don't have any style idols but I think Dita von Teese represents something that our time needs. Last time I was inspired by the early 20th century Finnish landscape painting."

I know this was posted before, but this is the stylist Minttu Vesala, right? She's 42! wtf? wow!

Thanks for the effort! :flower:

I like the zebra boots, otherwise it looks like Finland.

Yah, we all wear boring clothes like in those pictures...

no not really, in fact I'd say that's probably the most boring, unfashionble people the photographer could have closen to shoot...So I'd suggest people search for more pic's of people in copenhagen than these before you be so quick to judge. Better yet, come visit. ;)

i love those two old ladies in post #375! i'm going to come one of those too when i'm 60 or something :D
