No way I'm nay'ing these (Post #9,527). Nice two-one high-heel pump offset by the red buckle. The platform adds romantic appeal as well. These pumps are a Yay!, and there's no way I'm going to go the other way on these. Maybe I'm a bit biased to darker colors, but I'd go with the second if I wanted one of these pumps. It's still a win-win no matter which one you choose.
Now on to the three shoes in Post #9,528. First some critiques...
* Yay! to the pumps, except for the color. A lovely black or red or brown could is much better than this jade green color.
* Yay! to the mary jane-style pumps. Classic cuteness. These would be the kinds of shoes I'd compliment if I saw a femme wear these.
* Despite the dull and boring color, Yay! to the ankle booties. Try to find a more exciting color or maybe a more exciting closed-toe, non-slingback booties if you don't think these booties aren't good enough.
I must admit that I sometimes have a tough time choosing between pumps and booties. I've already singled out the first shoes, so it's down to the pumps and the booties. It wasn't until recent years to where booties like these could be showcased wearing shorter bottoms and dresses. I've seen trouser-like cuffed short-shorts being used with booties to something stylish and lovely. I would go with the second shoes with the little mary jane buckle design. You can probably find better booties than the one you posted, but I'd go with the mary jane pumps simply because I love the mary jane. A timeless design that isn't going anywhere no matter what the latest footwear trends/crazes are. But since it's snowing here right now, if I were looking for shoes right now, I'd go with the booties or maybe find some better and warmer boots to wear on a night like this!
So it's your call. I'd go with the mary jane pumps.
