Shoes: yay or nay? #1

Waxy - I really want to say nay, because like Velony I'm really not a sneaker fan at all. But trying to ignore personal bias, for sneakers they're pretty cute, so yay

waxy i'm unsure about the color but as a sneaker they are a definite yay :flower:
especially after having seen your favorite shoe purchase of last year :p

i think these suit your style...

I am addicted to the Balenciaga's but due to the fact that it is IMPOSSIBLE to find a pair, what are your thoughts on these?

Missivtec22, please provide credits for your image else it will have to be removed. :flower:

I think the inspired version is decent, so it's a yay.

to balenciaga: nay. very difficult to wear and not to look like lady gaga or sth.

glosoli: yay. the only problem is that they'll most likely not be very comfortable. i have a pair of shoes similar to those and they hurt a lot after wearing them for a while, but beauty is pain hahaha

Post #9,810 features some Balenciaga open-toe boots with an open backside. You're not going to like this one... those boots are an absolute Nay! Who thought it's okay to merge chic-styled shoes with hiking-style boots? I'm sick of these open-toe boots and don't know what makes them even remotely wearable or even manageable. Hiking-type boots are supposed to be rugged and usually either meaning business or just some tough shoes. These open-toe abominations are terrible. I'd never wear these if I were a femme. I'd especially not wear these hiking open-toe boots. Not all things were meant to be chic or shouldn't be chic at all, and those Balenciagas are terrible. But hey! There's a better alternative- open-toe slingback pumps! Actual hiking boots! Get either or both of those instead of lowering your feet to these ugly things. Nay, nay, nay... dismiss these creatures from my eyes! See what happens when you try to make EVERYTHING either open-toe or peep-toed?

Okay... now from shoes (if you want to call them that) that should be buried deep into a landfill to some oxfords (Post #9,013). Not sure if you can call them oxford pumps or high-heel oxfords, but if I had to choose, I'd probably say Nay (only slightly)! The overall style of these oxford pumps isn't too much to my liking, yet I don't hate these like I did the previous shoes. I'd be happier if these shoes had a better overall style to them. You know, something more fluid and stylish. They aren't lovely enough to where I can recommend or approve these oxfords. I would have liked a more chunky heel or a more aggressive kind of look. I guess I'm thinking more of some of the loafers and tailored oxfords of the late 1990s.

So a vicious Nay to those Balenciaga eyesores, and just a slight Nay to the oxfords.

Meeks: yay to both. they are really cute. I can really picture the bottom pair with bermudas or a summer dress.

glósóli, The heel and the sole don't go together. Looks like parts from two different shoes.

Missivtec22. NAY to all hacked up cut-out open toe, open heel boots. They just don't make any sense at all.

Post #9,817 shows off two sandals. Nay! to the first sandal, and Nay! to the other sandal. If I was forced to choose either one, I'd go with the first sandal since it's more manageable. As for the second, I've never liked thong sandals with that straps that far back. Maybe I'm too keen on the classic thong sandal design. Then too, the studded design isn't to my liking one bit.

So that's that.

Missivtec22: Nay
glósóli: Nay
meeks: yay, I like the second one the most

Meeks- nay 1st pair/ yay-2nd pair

What about these?
Jimmy Choo gladiator sandals.
