.. then you get to the actual clothes and it's oh..Reminds me of this picture I saw of a store with floating lace like 10 years ago (lol).. maybe Minä Perhonen's? can't remember..
Love that column of textiles at DSM, too. Series 4 Citrico 4life..
The LV stores are always the epitome of grotesque consumerism...

That Self Portrait pop-up IS stunning in the sense that it looks so calming. I'd personally have liked the clothes to be sort of incorporated with the labyrinth and not separate, but I do understand why they have it like that. It will still boil down to the clothes, regardless of how Kate Spade-ish it may look, lol.
So glad I am living in the age of pop-up stores because they really give retailers an opportunity to experiment more spontaneously with design without having to break the bank. Because this Self Portrait store is a perfect example of something so well done, and seemingly cost-effective too, yet it still looks better than that gooey green LV monstrosity, or Tory Burch's blue blood 'splendour.'
Nothing about the DSM perfume store appeals to me. Not the cold lighting, mall-like atmosphere, nor all that silver. Do like the crafty pillar decoration, but that's about it.

I sort of stan those crass, trashy Pop Art LV stores. They remind me of the worst of monstrosities masquerading as “art” of the 1980s. I feel like I’m in some tacky 80s-timewarp environment when I’m in the Beverly Hills LV shop. I just wished the sales associate were all wearing Nicolas’ appropriately tacky 80s designs, complete with the overstyled hair and warpaint makeup. LV stores have become fashion theme parks.

Same Benn, about the DSM stores.. I remember like a hundred years ago when I thought (being a teenager obviously) that living close to DSM was the stuff of dreams haha.. fast forward to now, it wasn’t a far walk from where I lived but you would’ve had to drag me.. when I needed a perfume, I just ordered it online..

^^^ That’s exactly how I feel about entering any/all Apple stores. It’s just a more expensively decorated Gap.
Unless I have no other options (must visit the supposed “genius”. And don’t believe everything they tell you BTW), all orders are made online (more options, and the only way to customize any order since Apple treats their customers like suckers by providing only the bare minimum configuration on their stock hardware and charging a premium for upgrades). And yes— I have a love/hate relationship with this brand, but no way am I using PC, or carrying around their ugly designs in public.

^ lol the genius bar is the worst! I’m only ever there when I need new earphones asap and do store pick-up and even just that little interaction is insufferable..
I feel the same, chained to Apple with no better options.. and totally vulnerable to their strategies. Putting the macbook aside (which is non-negotiable to me lol), I really resent myself for what’s clearly an addiction to my phone.. when I didn’t have a cellphone for the longest time and feel great whenever I travel and there’s no signal or whenever I intentionally leave it at home, so I’ve been “planning” on switching to Light Phone II.. I don’t even know who makes that but it’s like for children..? I certainly have the self-control of an infant.

I'm sorry but the OffWhite store could easily be a Prada boutique if the sofas were switched. I mean down to the mannequins...

It's actually really ugly. Not only that shade of green but also how it's laid out like a department store.
