Sick of 'IT' Bags? Favorite Non-Designer (Gucci, LV, etc) Bags?

i love this thread! and thanks and karma to everyone for the great links! :flower:

Here's another guy that is new on my radar - Giorgio Brato. His bags remind me of Sissi Rossi. Love the old, worn look. Pics are from activeendeavors.com

susie, i loooooooooooooove the bags you posted!

I have to get me one of those, they are really unique!:woot:

Do you have one? Could you please post a pic.?:flower:

Susie, glad you posted about Jas MB. I discovered these bags a few years ago but no one had any info or even heard of this designer! There was a woman who had a Jas MB bag..really slouchy and gorgeous and I was so jealous of her..I couldnt find it anywhere though.

love the jas bags, we can buy them at barney's? that would be amazing... does anybody know how much $$ they go for?

Even though i do have a hankering for it bags that I happen to like, some that just happen to be 'it', I absolutely LOVE my vintage finds (my real passion)...so i wanted to share these:

I also absolutely adore Ipanema bags from Hanoi, Vietnam...anyone else?? That woman is easily the most gifted bag designer I have ever, ever, ever, seen. Walking into Ipanema in Hanoi is like walking into heaven. :woot:

^Love your vintage finds.

Jas MB can be bought at Selfridges and Harvey Nichols and of course the Jas MB store Doors on 8 Ganton Street in Soho.
Not sure about where in NYC do they carry Jas MB. I know somewhere does tho!

I have a pewter large slouchy bag and a dark bronze waist pouch too. Will post pics later. I got mine in Tokyo coz Jas MB is really big over there!

Here's another example from Ebay.

Jas MB has been pretty big in Japan for a while and has only started to get attention in Europe and the States. I love the way he uses different effects on leather, distressed, patented, cracked. Just lovely to carry around.

cute bags! thanks for the info:smile:

I really like Rue Princesse bags (discount at TJ Max), leather is incredibly soft, and they made pretty well for everyday use...

Oh that is nice!
Kind of reminds me of the Chloe paddington hobo because of the beaten up leather but much more original looking
Those Betsey Johnson bags are really hot around here. Most of them look like Mulberry (what I thought they were at Bloomingdales) crossed with Chloe (all the whipstitching). They're MUCH more affordable though.
