It's true: America's favorite bombshell, the incomparable Kate Upton will grace the pages of SI Swimsuit once again! The blonde beauty we all know and love was shot by Yu Tsai in beautiful Fiji, marking the fifth time that Kate has landed a spread in the annual Swimsuit issue.

As you may recall, Kate first started her career with SI Swimsuit back in 2011. Her impressive debut earned her our coveted Rookie of the Year honor. She went on to land the cover back-to-back years in 2012 and 2013. At just 22-years-old, she was also named as a member of 22-person SI Swimsuit legends class, which included icons like Heidi Klum, Christie Brinkley, Tyra Banks and Elle Macpherson, to name a few.

And here at SI Swimsuit, we believe a legend of Kate's caliber deserves an equally memorable moment. That's why you'll be seeing her on not one...not two...but THREE covers this year.

"We didn’t start off with the idea of three covers, regardless of who was on the cover," explained SI Swimsuit editor MJ Day. "But when Kate was actually shooting, we were trying so many different looks on her and each photo was coming back just as great as the next.

"It's a full circle moment for us," MJ continued. "We started Kate in her career, and you know, we watched her grow and become not only this worldwide, superstar phenomenon; she changed the direction of the modeling industry. Kate Upton was really this trailblazer that led the way for the Ashley Grahams of the world and everything you're seeing happen that's different in fashion right now."

Since her last bikini-clad spread, Kate has starred in several motion pictures, most notably in The Other Woman alongside actresses Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann. She is slated to appear in the upcoming movie The Layover, a comedy about two friends who go on an epic road trip together. But let's be honest—it's her return to the pages of our magazine that has us most excited!
"I was very excited when MJ asked me to be back in the issue," Kate said about her return. "Especially when this year's theme is about every woman of every age and every body type being accepted. It was inspiring to be asked to be a part of that issue.

"For me, it was MJ’s passion for having it be this theme and this issue and that’s why I wanted to be a part of this magazine again," Kate added. "Those are the campaigns I want to do and the career I want to have — to inspire women to love themselves. That’s a balance of working hard and eating healthy but also enjoying life and having cheat days and for the emphasis not to be on the ideal perfect body. It makes me proud to be asked back."

I like it for what it is. the third one especially.

Prefer only the main cover (one with the jacket), the rest are ruined by excessive photoshopping. But what can you expect from the Jonas Brothers' resident photographer.

I'm not fussed on seeing her in fashion mags, but SI is where Kate works well, so I'm not surprised she got another cover. I kinda regret not getting last year's issue, so I might pick up a copy of the jacket one.

She's pretty good on Charlie Rose tonight.

Watching it now.

just when i thought Kate Upton fever had gone away, she's on another SI swimsuit cover. Is this her way of saying, my acting career hasn't taken off, so i'll give modelling another run? These covers are perfectly adequate, but far from the iconic shots of the 80s and 90s.

The cover with the jacket is the best, the rest is over the top in a bad way.

lol basically: YES :lol::lol::lol:

A simple search will inform you that there's been a thread for it every single year since 2006 :flower:

Actually a simple search would tell you that I know, I've been here since the beggining of time. There were lads mags in the UK classier than this magazine, why we are still pandering to this outdated publication, that has absolutely nothing to do with fashion is beyond me.

A lot of people here seem more keen on models than the fashion they wear, and Sports Illustrated has always been part of the repertoire for girls seeking to cash in through a populist approach, even if the swimsuit issue has long since been eclipsed by the relentless publicity machine that is the VS catwalk show.

I see it as a spectrum of work - you've got arty nude editorials in women's fashion mags, then underwear campaigns, VS and SI, through to Pirelli calendars, Lui magazine and supermodels appearing in Playboy (Eniko was in the Dec 16 issue).

Wasn't Ashley Graham on last year's cover? And now she's got two of the top four Vogues in three months. (I know you don't care for her, Les Sucettes!).

Apparently every time Kate Upton covered this magazine the overall sales (newsstand and digital) spiked well above average. So from that point it makes sense for them to use her again.

When you have her extremely graphic Icloud leaked images in mind, and pass by these covers in the supermarket, bet many guys won't be able to resist picking this up.

I just find it boring that it's her AGAIN. Why not someone fun like Bianca Balti? Or hell bring Anne V back and give her the cover. Just dull to see Kate for the 3rd time in such a shirt time span!
