Tall women vs short women ...

yeah I find that a problem too...it seems I'm surrounded by men shorter than me (I think it's all in my mind)...I'll settle for same height plus now

I'm 5"7.5 ... I've never had a growth spurt, I was always the tall kid in class, and I still get growing pains constantly (I'm almost 16). I'm supposed to be six foot. While on one hand I'm excited about never having to hem a pair of True Religions again, and the fact that I'd have so much better chances at model agencies being way tall, I already feel so tall already! My school's almost completely asian and the women in my family are all around 5" to 5"4, so it's akward ..

I'm 5'2. I don't mind being short, just not this short  .
I wouldn't mind being 5'3 or 5'4.^_^

i'm so going against the grain here . . . .!
but sometimes i wish i was shorter than i am {5'3}
being tall just isn't' 'in me' :muscles: i'll stick w/being short  !

ok no offense to tall people, but why is all the trend towards the tall ones? why does the media reflect tall models, actress etc...why not focus on short models...???

I'm 5 11, I wear heels now and tower over everyone- I'm proud of my height.
But. . . it's taken me a long time to get to this point. Growing up I always felt freakishly tall and wanted to be "normal height" I finally learned that I just had to accept who i was and be happy with that

I am 5'1". It used to bug me a lot being short, but now I am used to it. I wear flats all the time, heels just make me uncomfortable and has been relegated to evening dos.

I wouldn't mind being short... but I hate being average (5'7") I'm 14, so I dont know many girls my age who are taller than me, but I'd really want to be 5'8" or 5'9"...

You are NOT average.

The average woman in the United States is between 5'3" and 5'4".

If a woman is 5'8", I think that actually puts her in the 95th percentile of height for women in the United States.

People forget how "short" the average woman is without her heels on!

I'm 5'2'', and I'm happy I'm not any taller.. just wish my legs were longer.

I'm 5'6" but since I have a long torso, my legs aren't all that long. I would love to be 5'8" or 5'9" and have all that extra length go towards my legs. But since I'm nearing my 30's, I won't be getting any taller! Here's to dreaming that my future kids will be tall (my fiance is 6'5"). :D

i'm between 5'3" and 5'4". i'd love to be a few inches taller, but i guess i'm still growing anyway.

I'm between 5'6" and 5'7" but I feel inadequate and obscenely short considering I used to be one of the taller girls when I was younger but now I'm just...average. I would do ANYTHING in order to grow a few more inches.

Well, I for one, being a homme, like short girls, and I'm 6'4"; my borther 6'2" agrees

i'm 1.68m
i guess that makes me about 5'6.5"?
tall for an asian i guess. alot of asian men don't like to date women taller than them. when i'm in heels, i'm about the same height as my husband who's 1.75m

I'm 5'7" which is tall for an Asian. I feel like a giant at family gatherings with all the cousins and other relatives. I think all the tall genes come from my mom's side of the family but only my dad's side live near us so it's just my brother and I sticking out like sore thumbs. Other than that I feel perfectly comfortable with my height. I love being "tall." :flower:

I wonder then, where that puts me (5 ft 11) ?!?
