What makes Tanya so special is her walk, IMO. Some girls are too soft to the point of being limp (love you Vlada, but that's you!), some are too fierce (ummm.... Sasha) and some look vacant (sorry, Siri and Freja!). The two girls that really stand out are Marina and Tanya: they are always on, and give a designer an aware energetic effort. Tanya has to be careful though: with her uber-luscious look she is threading the supers-territory where the model is more noticeable then the clothes. And that may not sit well with some designers.

She won't be a supermodel for long if she doesn't get more editorial work though. I really just don't understand why she isn't in American Vogue at all. And I haven't seen her posting in the threads at all. I miss her. I think she responded to one of my post maybe one time and I felt special..lol

She actually has been in US Vogue, before.
The May 2007 issue. I believe she's wearing a Dries Van Noten look.

I agree. I guess Wintour chose the girls she liked already or whatever, but how could you scan the field, and overlook Tanya? It seems pretty clear that she has something special, and could really go all the way to super super.

I think Tanya is an amazing beauty. There is so much freshness in her.. Every time I see her on a show, even though I haven't been following her career as you guys do, she strikes me and makes me stare. I also think she's turning in a real classical beauty now. At the beginning her features were slightly outgrown, with her eyes and lips dominating her face. Now that she's grown up a bit all this has taken the perfect proportions, it seems to me. Above all, and no mater at which stage, I think the adjective 'angelic' suits her perfectly.

She's 16. But her look isn't "an angry girl" nor is she "a Lolita." Her look is an unapologetic, confident, sexy woman. Photographers and editors are not comfortable using a young teen for sex-on-the-stick edits. Without sexy stuff she is limited. All of it will be cured with age. I would not be surprised to see her doing a ton of editorial work in 2-3 years, and ending up doing all the glamazon stuff she's made to do.

Yes these pictures were amazing.
She is always so beautiful but in these pictures with no make up she is just as she is a REAL NATURAL BEAUTY and that's make her even more beautiful and pure.
