Tattoos

i have two: an outline of a (small) flame on my inner wrist that i LOVE. PERFECT place for a tattoo if you are concerned about professional life (just cover with bracelets, etc)... it really didn't hurt at all either, unlike:

i have a second on my lower back (da ding!) that says "who is john galt?" in my handwriting. now understand that at age 21 this meant something to me. or more than it does now. now i just get skeezy people asking me about it when it slips out.

i'm thinking about getting it removed - advice? (it's all black ink, about 4" wide) thanks :)

I love that tattoo! Maybe because Ayn Rand is one of my favorite authors so i would not mind having something to represent her wonderful work.
I seriously think you should keep it. But if you have lost your love towards that book then get it remove.

^ mmhm..i've never tried, but i guess it depends on the location, size and color. maybe with a really good foundation and concealer you'll be able t cover it up, but i'm not sure.

and that's the bow ^_^

^I love that!!
It's adorable!

It's your wrist, right?
Did it hurt there?

thanks :D
yes, it's on my left wrist. the outline did hurt a little, but the coloring was less painful, because they use 9 needles together instead of one (hope that doesn't scare you) :flower:

I have an 8th note tattoed on the lower left side of my back. I love it. I plan on getting at least 2 more tattoos, and at least one of them is going to be musical again.

anyone have success covering tattoos, make up wise? :ninja: :innocent:

Yes, I actually covered mine up once using the MAC liquid powder, concealer, and then regular powder that matched my skin tone. It takes some time, but it will stay hidden for most of the day.

So I didn't get my tattoo that I posted about earlier. . .
My best friend was killed in a car accident almost 2 weeks ago. So, I wanted to get his name, in white, on the back of my neck right below the hair line. You can see it (except in a black light) but I know its there, with my forever like his spirit and love is.
I'm not going to tell my mom since we all know how that will go over. Plus, she'll never see it.
What are your experiences with tattoos on the back of the neck?

^i don't have tattoo on the back of my neck but i'm thinking to get one. i would assume that it wouldn't be that hurtful, since the skin is quite thick and doesn't contain that much surface nerves. try pinching your neck, i'd think that will be the pain amount more or less

solg i love that tattoo, it's so cute. i love the tattooing culture in whole argentina, you guys have so big and visible tattoos ^_^

trust me wrist is not painful at all :) you get numb after a while and then it just gets boring. i took a tattoo just below my hand (at the spot where you can see your veins quite clearly) and it wasn't painful at all. of course there are spots where it hurts little bit more but generally it's not painful :flower: then again if you take to your ankle, where the bone is quite near, the pain is much bigger. so if i'm not completely wrong, the pain gets bigger as the skin gets thinner and the bones come closer

So I got my tattoo!
It's white, on the inside of my right wrist.
It's a word that reminds me of my best friend that was killed and it's something to keep myself going thru this hard time.
I love it and it's perfect.

i was about 95% close to getting a tattoo around a month ago, and thank god i didn't, cause i ended up going to a veryyy sketchy guy that tattoos underage people(i'm 16) at his house and he did my friends and it looks awfullllll

I just got my Libertines tattoo behind my left year done this weekend.

I was thinking of getting a tiny one behind my right ear as a friendship tat. How did it feel getting tatted on that location compared to your wrist one ivy? Or how about you Sienna...if you have any other tats, how painful was it compared to the others? I dunno, I just thought it would hurt by the ear.

Congrats. It's hard losing a friend, but I'm glad you got your first tattoo in memory of someone, then you'll cherish is forever. I like that you did it in white ink. Since he passed away the white, just seems ethereal, perfect for someone who is now up with the angels.:flower:

And plus, you can conceal it from your mom easier that way too. :p

Please, someone give me suggestions for body places

Here's the thing: I want to tattoo a two parts sentence "Eu sei ainda vou voltar... / ... mas eu quem será? " Probably a piece in a body part and the other on the correspondent one simetricaly. Any ideas?

The font would be small, nothing huge, but still readable (too small sometimes we can't read) and discrete. Like, in a place that I can hide, nothing like wrists or something like it.

Please give me ideas, I'd apprecitate and love you for ever if you come up with a good suggestion...

Thanks in advance xx :flower:

how about one half on one of your hips and the other on the other hip or alternatively your lower back.

sorry the only places i can really think of!

you guys have some lovely tats!! :D

I'd like one someday, but I'm afraid of it fading and looking gross and old when I'm older...my friends dad has one on his arm, and now it's just saggy and wrinkly and faded. I would consider one on my lower back/abdomen/wrist/ankle though.

I'd love a bird like someone mentioned, a symbol that is peaceful and represents freedom. Or a special word on my wrist...maybe in Gaelic since I'm Irish. I want to travel/backpack around the world one day after high school or in college, and I think it'd be really special to get a tattoo while you're traveling. To remind you of that.... I think a French word tattooed in a vintage looking cursive would look very cool as well!

I like Sienna Miller's stars too ^_^

It is a a sentence with a bit of "game with words" in portuguese... is from a lyric of a band that i love, but its not for the band, is more for the beauty.. In english is wont make much sense as it does in portuguese, but I'll try: "I know that I will be back... / ...but who I will be? "

I thought of doing it (in a nap in this afternoon i dreamed about it) in the side of my torso, horizontaly, in the height of the boob, so the bra will cover it. Its a hidden place with enough space and a correspondent.

Its decided. Any good font sites?

This is my tattoo, I have it on the back of my neck

At first, it looks like a chinese character but it is actually in english and it took me like 3 hours to make

It reads "LUCKY"
