But I've just made a pact with my friend :shifty: - We have to watch two films a week that we haven't seen before. I really want to watch things that I haven't before, to avoid relying on old favorites.

So I'm only counting movies I've never seen before.

I'm already planning on seeing some of Tati´s other films.

056. We'll Take Manhattan (2012) - it's a cute movie about Jean Shrimpton & David Bailey but I'm not sure it counts cuz it's a tv movie:unsure:
057. Suddenly, Last Summer (1959)
058. Sicko (2007) - I looove Michael Moore documentaries:lol:. I didn't know half of what's going on in our "health care system" until then:shock:.. It makes me want sneak into canada for my medical care:lol:

*Watched in my film class

I really liked Never Let Me Go. I thought it was a very subtle si-fi film but it's message was very effective. And that it was more then just about the sci-fi nature of the film, which was the catalyst for the story, but about love, friendship, and what it means to have a soul.

I haven't updated in a while...I was beyond obssesed watching the first two seasons of Dowton Abbey, then the firs couple of seasons of Breaking Bad too and some occasional episodes of HIMYM and The walkind dead so my movie time shrinked significantly...anyway

18.- Swing Time (1936) - The plot was boring but love watching Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers dancing.
19.- Tinker Tailor soldier Spy (2011) - Didn't get the hype, too many head- scratching moments for me.
20.- Gosford Park (2001) - After Downton Abbey this was a disappoinment.
21.- Hawaii (1966) - Max Von Sydow was sooo annoying, and the movie was funny, then serious then sad the next minute. I would've liked it if it wasn't that long.
22.- Wait Until Dark (1967) Audrey was great, and the movie was good from start to finish.
23.- Roman Holiday (1953) Audrey again, it was a nice movie but I didn't like the end.
24.- Jeux Denfants (2003) Unexpected would be the best word to describe it, then the subtitles didn't make any sense but It kinda grew on me...a lot.
25.- My Week with Marilyn (2011) Ended hating Marilyn, I'm not sure I liked the movie or is just that I found her to be too clingy and annoying.
26.- Sleepless in Seattle (1993) - That kid would be grounded for life if he did that to me.

Oh yeah I sobbed for like a half an hour after the film ended. But then again, that's how I often judge if a film is really good, if it makes cry then I know I connected to the story. ^_^

^A few period dramas that you might like are Atonement, The Young Victoria, Albert Nobbs, The Duchess, Bright Star, and Gosford Park. All are pretty great. Plus, have some wonderful costumes too.

^All the ones YoniahAliza suggested are pretty amazing. Some others: Quills, The Man in the Iron Mask, Ever After, Mansfield Park, The Other Boleyn Girl, Les Miserables, Dangerous Liasions, A Room With a View, Chocolat, The Count of Monte Cristo (Jim Caviezel version), North & South, Sense & Sensibility, The Last of the Mohicans, Tristan & Isolde, and The Cider House Rules.
