@Betina: I've never tried one but I've heard good things about JLo's scents.

@Ta-ta: Yes, it's lots of fun to play with scents. There are a few others that I like to use on specific occasions, but not many. Lately I love the freshness of Jo Malone's Peony and Blush Suede after a bath or shower for example, just to please myself. But 95% of the time, I like to have one favorite signature scent that I wear all seasons and occasions, that I feel communicates something of my personality beyond words.

I feel excactly the same. I know it is not recommended, but I prefer having a signature scent as well.

Really? I'm curious, why is it not recommended, if it's something versatile and appropriate? I've tended to hear the opposite...

Many years on, when someone smells a whisper of your perfume in the air, they'll remember you...

Ah, a fellow nerd  Have you looked at Uniqlos fine merino sweater? They have one in a very dark grey http://www.uniqlo.com/uk/store/goods/128163 and it should be maschine washable (haven't tried washing mine yet though)

I did wash the cardigan a few times and it's as good as new. Though this particular sweater is too thin for my liking, I am looking for something in between, not thin and definitely not chunky.
Also the light shade is too light and the dark is to dark.

Btw, love your new necklace! I am obsessed with rose gold for quite some time now. Maybe I will get a rose gold watch for my birthday.

It's interesting that my favourite 3 perfumes are from my favourite designers/brands; Lanvin Me, Karl Lagerfeld for Her and Jil Sander Eve.

Because you should grow accustumed to the scent, and notice that you are wearing too much perfume. I tend to just dose the same way as always, and it seems to be working just fine

Aww, that's a silly reason! Just dose the same as you say!

Popping in to say that I have a Rebecca Minkoff bag, the mini MAC, and the quality on it is great. I haven't had any issues with mine at all other than wishing it was just a touch bigger. I personally would recommend the brand.

I was expecting you to say something about it sparking allergies or the chemical build up in your body or something:lol: The Danish have come so much further when it comes to "beeing green". You even have organic stuff in regular stores...

I sprits away. It is a 20 minute (windy) walk to the buss anyway, so I figure it won't be too bad if I over do it:innocent: And anyway, I don't like it when people sit down next to me on the buss...

I have noticed that my signature scent has started smelling differently since I got it. I am not sure it is because some of the alcohol has evaporated, or if my nose has changed.

I have been searching for a silk scarf with "my color" in the print, and I finally found one (I have pinned it). I am going to try to unravel two of the sides though, to make a fringe. I didn't care for the seams on the scarf. I have done this with wool scarfs in the past, and it has been very successful.

@Betinapple: Yay for the necklace! It's so pretty!
I would love a pair of Acne pistols, but I think their sizes run very large? I think even the 35 would be too big for me. A 7,5 cm heel might be slightly too high for me for everyday wear too, so something like the ASH boots might be perfect.

Re. scents: I have really tried getting into perfumes, but most scents make me nauseous when I smell them on myself. After years of searching I have a small handful of different ones that I like, but I really only wear two of them regularly (Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline (my favourite ever) and Gucci by Gucci). They don't do much for me when I smell them on someone else, but I love them on myself.

@heyitsrachelle: Thanks for the feedback!

@eizhowa: I just saw the scarf that you pinned, love the 70's vibe!

^ I used to have a signature scent, but I can't smell it on myself anymore ... plus, I'm not sure it's really me anymore. So I guess you could say it didn't work for me  But there are definitely scents I associate forever with particular people ... I recommend staking claim to a signature scent when it first comes out

Am I the only one that finds mid-season sales in the beginning of October weird? What happened with the real calendar seasons?
Anyway, I fell in love with COS scarf the other day. Being printed makes it a bit unusual for me, but I love it, especially the shades and it would fit into my wardrobe in a great way.
But I have some concerns regarding material. Maybe a silk mix (70% Cotton / 30% Silk) is not warm enough for winter? But as you saw, my new winter coat has a very high collar, so the scarf probably won't be necessary. Though, on the other hand, a lighter scarf is much more foldable.

^ Your scarf reminds me I was thinking about this thread today  I wore my tri-color Nina Ricci oxfords with denim trousers, charcoal tight-socks, charcoal knit shell with pintucked satin yoke, and taupe 3/4 sleeve cardigan. My thought was that eizhowa would probably think that was a lot of color, whereas I think it is no color at all

Yeah, the whole fashion season/sale cycle has never made sense ... but it is convenient in that if what you want survives until the sales, it's on sale just when you might actually start to need it ... or in my case, think about needing it ...

I am wondering if perhaps the bag I want might possibly go on sale. Probably not, but I should check on that

Oh, yes, three colors at the time, maximum. And two of those need to be black and grey:mrgreen: I have been wearing a lot of head to toe charcoal lately. I own a lot of grey stuff...

I like how sales work now. It means that if you can buy christmas presents at sale prices! J crew always has a sale in late november I think.

Jina, I like the scarf:flower: I think it will look nice with your black coat.

Caramel: Thank you!:D It goes with the huge red hair:P I actually had a ginger afro in a class picture once... It was a 70s themed picture though! I forgot to bring a costume, so we improvised:D

I have been thinking a bit about my wishlist lately. None of the items are "need" items. I have other items that do the job fine, so basically I have a 1000 dollar worth of pure "wants" :S Thats scary.

I have everything I need, and feel like I have loads of options, why do I still find imaginary "holes" in my wardrobe? I have gone for years without a LBD and I have managed fine. I also don't need a corduroy blazer in "my color". I just really want one, because it would be such a "me" item. I can honestly say I have never seen anyone in my town wear anything like it. But, then again, I could say that about a lot of my other clothes. I feel like I can keep this going untill I have all the pieces to make all the sillhouettes I like, in all the main colors I like (black, grey, brown, white). That would be a massive wardrobe!

I have money to spend on clothes, but I have never been in the position where I actually feel like I have enough. I don't need anything. I shouldn't want more...

First world problems, right? I have so much stuff that I don't want to buy more, and it bothers me...

^ Only $1000 worth?! I'd say you're doing pretty well

Perhaps you need something different to think about

I know... it is not too bad, but considering I don't need any of it... And 1000 usd is just the start... 2015 has not even started:wink:

I've stopped wearing makeup as well. What will I spend my money on in the future? I have no clue.

I love planning my wardrobe, and I do it to relax inbetween studying (tax-law is so dull). What am I going to do now?!

Usually when I don't need anything I find a lot of likeable items without even looking for them, and all of them would be great additions to everything I already have. But unfortunately I have zero problems with not knowing what will I spend my money on. It is so very different when you are not a student anymore. Though I am very glad I saved all my year scholarship. I needed it for my drivers licence, which cost a fortune where I live.
I grew a habit of looking for my future wedding dress lately though. And rings. Oh, the rings.

FYI: Zero dresses found.

Wow, no makeup ... I thought it was a BFD when I stopped painting my nails

jinadaze, would love to hear what kind of dress you're looking for. You know about Lanvin Blanche I think it's called, right?

Well, I am seriously excited. I was waiting on someone else at work and she leaves early, so I had nothing to do ... so decided to check out Lanvin on Yoox, thinking I might find some nice tops. I nearly fainted when I saw a dress I had pinned some time ago (a year ago, according to Pinterest), last one, my size, for an unbelievable price. It's the emerald silk with kind of ruching down the front (pinned now on my wardrobe board). So I ordered it, as well as a T that is grey jersey, very drapey, with a double band of black grosgrain at what is kind of the sleeves (there are no seams, so they're possibly more armholes ). I was planning to run an errand on the way home, but decided that could wait, this order had to be placed now, as naturally each of these was the last one! So hopefully both will fit well--I think they should based on the pictures and the sizes. We'll see. Hopefully all is well with the quantities--I'm thinking due to the nature of Yoox it should be ...

Yoox has a number of nice Lanvin items right now, including a number of wool sweaters. I already know their wool isn't that comfortable for me, though, and it's not practical in my climate. I think it's more practical for almost all of you ...

Here are pix of my purchases ... I will probably hold off on the bag for a bit as I feel very good about these and the great deal on the dress, but something else on top of this, especially something super major like the bag, I have little doubt would feel like too much for the moment.

I'd pinned this dress last year, and R&N also pinned the blouse version in a different color for me (cover of my recommendations board, although unfortunately I cannot wear fuchsia--or at least I couldn't last time I tried).

@Melisande: I totally aggree!

@Eizhowa: you are right - that is SO danish. It actually thought that it would be the same in Sweden since they tend to be more politically correct as a nation (at least that is the word in Denmark, sorry if I am stepping on any toes here), and I thought Norway would have the same kind of products available.

Dont you have organic foods in regular stores? I am puzzled. I do use organic hand-, dish-, and washsoap, and organic shampoo and conditioner and mascara, but I am not fanatic. I like wearing perfume, and so I do, and when I ran out of mascara a couple of days ago I decided to use a conventional one I had from a goodiebag, before buying a new one.

Really like that scarf you bought. Please let me know if you have any luck fringing it.

I really feel you regarding not needing anything but wanting everything. It is terrible. I am considering trying not to purchase anything else this year (besides from the ACNE scarf), but I am not sure wether staying with my one piece a month strategy would be better in the long haul. Generally I try to stay away from blogs, webshops and stores, when I feel like that.

@Caramel: thank you - I really love it as well. Cannot wait for it to arrive.

The pistol boot do run large. I have my short ones in my regular size (36) though - they are spacious, but it is not a problem. The long ones I have in size 35 though since I felt that they needed to be tighter.

I really like the ASH boots as well, actually they are my favourite ATM since they makes your legs look great. Would definetly recommend those - not so great for winter though, since they are suede.

@Ta-ta: so nice pieces - I love, love love the top. Also I really admire your way of holding back and thinking that adding more right now would be to much. I would feel the same way and know it, but at the same time I would be afraid that the bag I wanted would sell out. Silly, I know.
