TCA Cross

Anyone heard of/had TCA Cross? I am considering asking my father to take me to a dermotologist and talk about it. I have dark marks on my skin from acne- more discoloration that actual scaring, and I am hoping that would work for me!

I did a chimical peeling with TCA,and I am actually in processus,I did three sesions, and I am waiting to make my 4th one to begin after it my "Accutane" treatement, cuz the association of accutane and peeling is bad for skin,as it could make scars,it hepls to remove acne and also scars and pigmentation,I already feel that my skin is more smooth, and numbers and concnetration of dark spots decreased.

When you talk about peeling, then you mean peeling the skin after you have get rid of all your acne, right?

Cause peeling on acne-skin isn't a so great idea..or?

You can make the chimical peeling before or after using accutane or an other treatement for acne, but never while using the treatement.

No,peeling on acenic skin is possible,it helps to remove the acne, personally i am doing my peeling before starting the "accutane",I don't have that lot of acne, but for my 29 it's unusual,so I want to have a falwless :p skin,i noticed after the 3th session that my skin is getting smooth and the dark spots are faded.

The dermatologue told me that I can start my "accutane" treatement about one month after the last session of peeling, the accutane would treat the acne definitively.

I had that too ^. My doctor said it was a form of scarring and that it would eventually go away, but she put me on an antibiotic that helped them clear up ALOT faster. On the prescription label it says " IC SMZ/TMP Double Str Tab" So i guess thats what its called, lol. But it helped alot with those really annoying red marks!
SMZ/TMP is a combination antibiotic commonly used to treat urinary tract infections... it stands for sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim and is prescribed as "BACTRIM" :)

Watch out accutane really dries the skin and lips so be sure to use a non-oil moisteriser and lip balm from the chemists, not brand types as those may make your skin worse.

I've always had bad skin, it's better now though compared to a few years back. I still have acne, which never go away but my problem is that I think my skin would look much better without the scars from before. Does anyone know how to get rid of the scars?

Surion - go to your GP doctor and ask to reccomend a dermatologist. See the dermatologist and ask how can you get rid of the scars and acne. My dermatologist gave me this vitamin A gel, put me on the diane pill and I have laser treatment every 3 months. I have been doing it since september and my skin is nearly flawless. Before I had really bad acne scars and now they are nearly gone!!!!!!! yeahh!!!! My acne is gone too with only a few spots coming out during time of the month! I'm much happier now!

The laser treatment cost about $250 Australian dollers each treatment, but you only need it every 3 months.

After laser treatment, you skin will be a little red for a day or two and you are not allowed to put makeup on for 5 days.

Good Luck!

ps: alot of people wash their faces wrong and that is why bacteria stays on your face and forms acne. I have been told to stay clear from high-fashion cosmetics like chanel, dior, etc... and stick to chemist type of cosmetics because it has less chemicals. If your cosmetic smells nice then it has chemicals in it to smell nice. That is a special tip for you. Oh yes and when you wash your face, do not massage or do any circular movements!!! That puts the bacteria in your face back into the pores! Big no no!! Just put the cleaner on each part of your face when your face is dry. And when you wash it, just splash water on it with your hands ONLY moving outwards!
I hope you can understand what I said but alot of people make that mistake and so get spots. Also during the day or night, try not to touch your face as you are putting more bacteria on your face.

Oh and when you have acne, DO NOT exfoliate as you will anger the acne and make it worse.

Plus no need for toner! All you need from the chemist is a non-oily cleanser, non-oily moisterier with sunscreen mixed into it, and non-oily eye makeup remover! That's all! 3 products.

I don't know what is was called, but I can describe the treatment for you to tell the dermatologist.

Okay my treatment involved the dermatologist pinching my skin with an injection on parts of my face where the scars are. Then he would goggles over my eyes and used a needle spark gun type. I could smell burnt skin. Okay sounds scary only because it is hard to describe so don't get scared. Other treatments involved him using a needle and twisting it lightly on parts of my skin.

So basically I have two types of treatments every few months to get rid of scarring.
1) using Laser needle gun
2) using needle to lightly twist into parts of my skin

Hope that helps but it isn't as scary as it sounds and only hurts a little.

Ok question:
The antibiotic creme that m doctor has given and it's worked wonders on my forehead....like it's crystal clear and its' wonderful. And I haven't had any worsening of the chin acne. I still have a little remnent of random acne appearing on my left cheek. It's tiny but nevertheless it's stilll there. Would it be out of line to ask my doctor to change my birth control? I really do think most of my acne is hormonal and I think a change in bc in conjunction with the antibiotic cream would be a kick *** combination.

dlg

^ You can use birth control AND antibiotic cream. Ask for the Diane birth control as that is the one to clear skin. It also helps with period pains, PMS and having less heavy period. It's the best!

Thanks for explanation, it is the treatment I was thinking about. How long did you have to stay at home after the tretment?

The best birth control is Diane, it is formulated for acne skin especially, against androgen hormones the causes acne. I think that You won't need antibiotic crem while on BCP.
