Have anyone here experience with applying dilluted apple cider vinegar on redmarks? I have tried it and it works great on my skin! It's natural, cheap and easy:

1 dl ACV
3-6 dl water

Use a cotton pad to apply it on areas with redmarks. They will -if you're lucky - fade after a week or more using this stuff. It's worth a try. :)

I just bought some cider vinegar today and will be trying this out! God out of all the things Ive done to make my skin look nicer this one has to be one of the weirdest! I'll let you know what happens though I doubt I'll put on in the morning, just evenings...don't want my face smelling of cider all day

I had a funny vision of using our cat litter for a face mask...(we use recycled paper litter!)

How is one supposed to use cat litter?
Do you mix it with honey etc?
(no, I'm not going to use it, just wondered;) )

^ No, apparently you buy the cat litter and then mix it with water until it forms into a clay and then put it on your face until it dries then wash it off. (DON'T USE USED CAT LITTER..LOL!).

There is a thread on it, search 'cat litter'.

There are sooo many natural and safe ways to help fight acne!!

I use diluted Lavender oil or Tea Tree Oil and they make the zits disappear,I also make a toner using Lemon and Rosewater.

What you eat really does make a difference, check out this site and you'll see some "Skin Savers" and things you should be avoiding.

I've seen many dermatologists but nothing helped. Now I'd like to see another one (I'd like to try roaccutane) but I've already spent so much time...I'm too annoyed
i've not gone through this thread.
this has likely been mentioned multiple times but is what worked for me after ten years of constant cystic acne (tried all topicals and antibiotics aside from accutane).
i cut most sugar out of my diet. cleared my skin within a week or so. dairy i have to watch too but sugar was it.

After 6 months of depression and acne treatment my skin is finally clear.

If there's any advice i would give to those with acne:
- Go to a dermatologist as soon as possible. Never think that the pimples will just be there for 3-4 days and then disappear.
- The treatment will take time, a LOT of time. So be patient.
- There will be days where you think you look ugly with all those pimples on your face, but don't let that push you to squeezing them because it will only make it worse.

^what acne treatment did you use?
I finally got another appointment on Wednesday, I hope I'll get roaccutane:woot:
Do you think it's okay if I'll ask for it? Or is it too pushy?

after using EVERYTHING, both perscription and stuff you buy at stores, the ONLY thing that worked was Accutane. (called Roaccutane in Europe and Canada i think) its a SERIOUS drug, and your skin will get really, really dry (chapped lips too) I even got a rash on my arms!! You have to take lots of tests to check your liver too. BUT, it was so worth it. I dont have bad skin anymore---I no longer have oily skin, and when I get pimple its small and goes away fast. Asking your doctor is not too pushy. this drug works. for those people who say its too risky a drug, well maybe they dont know what its like to have really bad skin. emotionally, you will feel better and more confident. and dont feel bad if it does not work right away...it might take a while but it will probs work....sorry for the long post, but ths drug really worked for me so I feel i should share!!

!$#%@^#&$

I've eaten nothing but bread and fruits and non-oil foods all week and my pimples STILL haven't gone away.

Is there ANYWAY to get rid of SCARS?

sh*t. sorry, eternity. my personal allergies are to dairy, sugar, and soy. are you on a bcp? depends what kind of scars you're referring to- if it's just hyperpigmentation, yes but it takes time. proper atrophic scarring is very difficult.

Ummm...put cocoa butter on them or vitamin E...

If you're willing to deal with the pain, chemical peels work wonders.

Scars from squeezing and popping those zits when I wasn't suppose to.

Yeah those will fade. It is fun getting a bit of tan because then there is no difference between the scars and the skin colour. You think your skin is perfect but then the tan fades. Bummer.

Cucumber and Lemon Juice is good for acne marks,if you apply it every night you'll begin to see results.

I really like the "Grandpa soaps"... I use the pine tar & thylox ones. The pine tar is more gentle and the thylox is deeper cleansing.. or at least that's my perception!

Isn't that the drug that caused people to commit suicide? I'd be so scared to take it, especially since I take a serotonin reuptake inhibitor!

Does you rliver have to be in really good shape? I think my liver and kidneys might be scarred because I used to have a lot of infections.

i dont know if its been proven Accutane is directly linked with suicidal thoughts. Personally, I did not have any. If you have a history of severe depression, I guess this is a serious factor to weigh in...its important to talk to your doctor. In fact, in order to take the drug, i had to look over a info book on Accutane, and sign saying that i read everything in it.

I think you need to have a normally funvtioning liver...i had to take a blood test, then every 2 mo. or something, i had to take more to monitor. one simple blood test administered by a doctor will tell you if your a good candidate. it sounds really scarry and like a long process, but it was not so bad at all...theses things need to be done for lots of reasons, sadly, most are done for the doctors benefit ( i.e. lawsuits, etc.)

honestly... i have been drinking more diet pepsi than usual..i never used to drink pop... and ive gotten a few new zits :(
